Guest Asterix Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 I hope someone can shed some light on this one: Whenever I enter a zone, the game shows the ship I'll be flying, and then immediately alt-tabs out to the desktop. I still see the chat window, as expected, and the game itself is in the tray (taskbar really). I've been playing this game since beta, but I've recently reinstalled it to my laptop. I've installed 3.8 by itself, and then 3.9 beta as advised. I've run this on this laptop several hundred times before and I was wondering if anyone else ran into this problem. HELP! Thanks!!!!!
★ CypherJF Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 Nope, sounds like some program is making it pop out though. Much like AIM and a new IM window appearing... I'd check for spyware, etc. (or I could be completely wrong) Btw, its .38 and .39 Owner/Operator of Omega Fire
Guest Guest Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 Cypher, thanks for the reply. I did a little more troubleshooting by running the game in windowed mode. The game ran okay, so now I suspect my renegade ATI video card drivers. Thanks for your help!!

3DWZ Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 sometimes this will happen to me. It could be a result on you being out of RAM. Normally it happens to me when i have windows explorer open in a pictures directory with 100 pictures in it... COuld be a result of you having a huge desktop picture.. Dunno worth a try -3d
Animate Dreams Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 Hmm...I've had that problem a few times, but never on a regular basis.... Whenever it's happened to me, it's been because Continuum thinks I'm pressing down a button that I'm not, like shift. So, what I do, is hit both CTRL, Alt, shift buttons, esc, all the directions and about everything else to make sure it isn't locked. That probably isn't your problem, but at least it might help someone else that comes on here. http://i19.tinypic.com/8eh5yzd.jpg---SSCC Halo Sysop | Owner of SSCI Penis | Creator of Penis chat
