Guest Bicepo Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 this is the only thing that ever crashes my toshiba satellite. I love the game and hope someone can assist me quickly. My computer just turns right off randomly while I play continuum.
»i88gerbils Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 it's probably blue screening, but you can't see it. Go into system properties and into Enivronment and Recovery settings. Make sure it isn't set to automatically reboot. Then give the error that occurs?
»Maverick Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 - Operating system?- Does the computer just shuts down immediatly or do you see the windows shutting down screen before it goes off?- Do you have an antivirus scanner? -MMaverick
Guest bicepo Posted July 15, 2004 Report Posted July 15, 2004 ya I run xp on a 2.8 gig at 1280 res. Perhaps it is the Norton Antivirus. It just shuts off completely with no warning while I am playing. I will try to disable the Norton before playing. I have to get it worked out. I am dying to play and rack up some more points blammoing everybody! Thanks for the help I will try the Norton solution
»Maverick Posted July 15, 2004 Report Posted July 15, 2004 lol, who said Norton Antivirus was the cause of the problem?I only asked it because maybe you have a virus, but I doubt that is the problem.. Still a weird problem you have. Don't know the solution exactly. -MMaverick
»ZiGNoTZaG Posted July 16, 2004 Report Posted July 16, 2004 shut off... any fancy screen savers. any stupid file indexing windows might be doing. any program that might automatically do something while your playing. excluding virus scanners and soft-firewalls. progrmas like messangers or p2p things. try and determine if this happens at certain times, or within a certain amount of time from the moment you enter the zone. my 3 cents.
Guest BeanBean Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 This same exact problem has been hapening to me and here's what I did: 1. Closed down everything except for the game2. unplugged all USB devices, except for my controller this should work.
