KoTD Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 So? in nearly every topic in the HS forums we get a little bit :wtfwtf: :wtfwtf: :wtfwtf: Quote
Guest Guest_GenericLoser Posted July 18, 2004 Report Posted July 18, 2004 I'm too lazy right now to log in, but I do want to ask Ninja to pinpoint my age. I've probably told him by now, but it's pretty hard to tell by my actions alone... While maturity usually comes with age, I know that my 11-year-old cousin is about as mature as a 6- or 7-year-old, although his vocabulary includes many politically incorrect terms that serve to mask his age when he's online, especially when he's mad at someone. Not only are some more mature than their age group, some are less. Quote
charcoal Posted July 19, 2004 Author Report Posted July 19, 2004 ahh, after all this -*BAD WORD*- has happened. with the stupid -*BAD WORD*- staff (excluding pic, bom, quig, coen, and others) has banned like 1000 people, HS's population will never recover. most of the people in hs have already been stolen into ds. so the question is: after all this crap has happened, will it ever be fixed? (guess not) Quote
Animate Dreams Posted July 19, 2004 Report Posted July 19, 2004 Actually, I blame all of HS's pop moving to different zones on the mods NOT silencing the obnoxious, blithering, and offensive idiots as quickly or as long as they should. I've had to leave HS quite a few times because I can't stand someone that's on there. At least with Grav, I could tolerate him, he had some sense behind his stupidity. Now, HS is becoming infested with the kind of noobs that can't even understand the likes of TW. They complain and insult and MAYBE get fined. While fining has a chance of getting someone to shut up, it isn't nearly as likely. I'm sure I'm not the only one that gets tired of idiots claiming to be the master of SS, and I'm sure they cause a loss in pop. I mean really, someone could teach them some manners. Quote
Dr Brain Posted July 19, 2004 Report Posted July 19, 2004 That's because about half of the modding team is on vacation. That's probably part of the population drop, though I know of a few other reasons behind that. Quote
Darkflare Posted July 19, 2004 Report Posted July 19, 2004 I think it is because nike left. thats the true reason. Quote
FunkmastaD Posted July 19, 2004 Report Posted July 19, 2004 lol I'll start abusing more power and Silence all who talk thenand Its funny that people complain about my fines being too high...then we don't fine enough times. Pattern that I always try to followWarn, silence and fine, silence and fine x2, kick, longer kick, BanI would have liked to not have to macro "?a Don't be a moron" Quote

FunkmastaD Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 I think this pattern would get more people to stop Silence, Kick, Ban Quote
Guest Guest Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Most people end up complaining after they get fined anyway. --GenericLoser Quote
Dav Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 I think this pattern would get more people to stop Silence, Kick, Banthat usually works, i think kicks are a waste of time though, if they still doing it afrer a .*shutup and a few warnings then a ban os the only option. Quote
Dav Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Most people end up complaining after they get fined anyway. --GenericLoservery true, i think it shows good modding to hols your decition after a fine or ban has been made unless changing is it is best for the population and staff - player relationships in a zone. ddaL Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 Hey, I think a quirky staff is a nice thing to have. Otherwise, it'd be a rather boring zone.yea quirky staff, that do not really do anything for the zone they staff in are great Quote
Gravitron Posted July 24, 2004 Report Posted July 24, 2004 Although technically retired, I am wiping up my HD and had happened to stumble upon something of adept player.Since he has been so considerate in refferance to me, and championing anti-profanity, I thought I will drop this little trinket as a goodbye present. http://www.gamer-unltd.com/adeptcrying.gif Quote
EdTheInvincible Posted July 24, 2004 Report Posted July 24, 2004 that was funny as -*BAD WORD*- lol Quote

Guest Guest_rogh Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 This is my first post...The first time I paid attention to that green message. Nice, animate dreams, I agree that age shouldn't have anything to do with moderators, and maturity does. However, maturity can change. When you look at any non-mod person in hs, they are acting as their normal selves. When you make them mods, they will live up to their position and change to be more like a mod. Unless they are a total -*BAD WORD*- and abuse their power, which would be quite obvious when you look at their normal selves(so naturally you won't choose him). I think being a mod just depends on playing A LOT, being friendly with mods, being popular, and being relatively mature. TEST YOUR POPULARITY BY GOING INTO HYPERSPACE AND SAY "HI" IF LOTS OF PEOPLE SAY HI BACK, UR POPULAR, IF NO ONE OR VERY FEW PEOPLE SAY "HI" BACK, UR HOPELESS. rogh Quote
EdTheInvincible Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 I went to HyperSpace today, and said "Hi". The empty arena echoed for minutes, as if it was celebrating my presence. I guess I'm popular Quote
