1. Bush is pushing the limit on seperation of church and state. That right there makes me not vote for him.

2. Gays and Lesbians are fine by me. They are normal people who just think differently about sex. Marriage is the union of 2 people. Man and Woman, Woman and Woman, Man and Man, all are people, and they're uniting. (union might be the wrong word, but yea).

3. Bush is trying to push Democracy on other countries. Who said a Democratic Government is best? We have yet to see one last a mellinium, unlike Kings and Dictators. For all we know, a democracy could be flawed and cause more problems then it's worth. I'm not against it, just stating the fact that other countries can run and live happily without Democracy. Cuban people for the most part are happy. Yes, the ones jobless and poor are not, but neither are unemployed/poor americans.

4. Kerry has already began going against the things he has said. He seems to have forgotten he isn't president yet.

Really, I could go on for a while. I had to debate this in class once, and heard some really good info I can't think of at the moment, but was a great debate, especially since I wasn't even in college or that class but I got into it all.

I say vote for A Soldier:

Few reasons I would vote for him are:

- He's Canadian and knows absolutely nothing about American people.

- Wants Canada to invade the USA because it's warmer here.

- Listens to massive propoganda about Great Depressions.

- Is gay and supports gay marriages so he can get butt plugged twice daily.

- Has no idea how technology shift stimulated from the end of the Clinton era created a massive drought on tech jobs.

- Has a strange hair cut.

I'm very pleased to know that he's Canadian and speaks so highly about Americans.  He has a computer thanks to his dad.  Plus he handles foreign chicks like African wilderbeast.....I have difficulty describing that sound in words.  Squink, squish, and flubflub are good examples.

I know what to expect from A Soldier.  More beating on American policy despite whomever is in office.  Sadly, A Soldier is Canadian and holds an omnipresent grudge against Americans in general perhaps.  smile.gif

(now watch him reply and try my technique)

Lmao !!!

- Lied about the reasons of going to war against Iraq

He was recieved wrong information, Clinton Lied.

I am interested in knowing what Clinton did wrong since this is the second time I hear a comment about him.

Um, that whole part where he came on national TV and blantenly lied saying he didn't have "sexual releations" with Lewinski, then some time latters saying he did.

Posted

oh, btw...there's a whole f'king difference between lying about your sex life and lying about the possible reason to going to a war which has lead to 10k civilian death and more losses than vietnam.

plz think before answering.

Gay people is not right, gays are against my religion and is not what we are here for. People are supposed too be Male and Female and Lesbian and Lesbian...is ok

Gays and Gays.. are just not right.

Hempz,

please get out of this anal phase...or grow up, whichever is the easiest. thks.

oh' date=' btw...there's a whole f'king difference between lying about your sex life and lying about the possible reason to going to a war which has lead to 10k civilian death and more losses than vietnam.[/quote']A lie is still a lie. As a matter of fact, I do belive they were about to impeech him over it. Bush didn't lie. He was fed wrong information. Clinton flat out lied to the world over something as trivial as fun times with Monica.

Oh, and here's some facts about Iraq vs. Nam:

the comparison to Vietnam is something of a stretch. That war dragged on for more than a decade and cost 50,000 lives. There were times during the Vietnam War when America was losing 500 men a week. A year in, the death total in Iraq stands at 458 soldiers killed in action.
Since that arctile was written, the death toll stands at 874 as of Wed July 7, 2004 (source: http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/07/07/iraq.main/). I don't know exactly how long Vietnam was, but knowning it was over a decade, I'll just use 10 years in this example. 50,000 lives in 10 years put it at 5000 US deaths a year. As of yesterday the US death toll was 874. The US started the war on March 21, 2003 with 'Shock and Awe'. War on terror: 16 months - 874 US deaths. Nam: 12 months - over 5000 deaths. Seems like a rather large contrast to me.

BTW, please quit trying to turn this thread into a flame war. If you continue to insult everyone over what they think or say I will start deleting your posts. It's one thing to disagree, it's another thing to start insulting people. I'm not going to let you ruin a decent discussion.

3. Bush is trying to push Democracy on other countries. Who said a Democratic Government is best? We have yet to see one last a mellinium, unlike Kings and Dictators. Sorry, democracy is much better than dictatorships and monarchies. Why? Because a dictator or a king cannot force the country to follow him by himself. They need either a supporting party or a group of nobles. Both cases require a large amount of racism and classism to operate.

Yes, by itself a king isn't much worse than a president. However, in order for a politically relevent king to exist, 2/3rds of the population has to be serfs. That means most of the talents and skills of the country are waisted on essentially slave farm workers.

Here's a challenge, name one case where a dictatorship or monarchy beat a democracy in a military conflict. It just doesn't happen, because democracies make better use of their populations.

One example for my side would be the Mexican-American War. Both countries at that time were second-world, and their total economies were about equal. The US sent a national army. Thus, all states had to donate taxes and manpower. The leadership of this army was trained, and ranks were allotted by merit.

The Mexican's however practically did not have a national army. The individual aristocrats, who held the strings to Santa Anna's power, could decide whether or not to support the defense of their country. If they actually did donate troops, the aristocrats themselves generaled the armies, ranks allotted by whoever had the most money.

The Mexicans, if their military was in a democratic format, could have beaten the US twice over. However, the US marched on Mexico city with only light casualties. Why? Because the US was a democracy and Mexico was a dictatorship.

Here's the big point though - the problems you may or may not with democracy - rigged elecations, bribes, race and classism, etc. are exactly that - problems. The less of these things exist - the better for the overall system. However the monarchy and dictatorship systems REQUIRE these evils to function. If you don't like democracy, it is most likely that you are a rich aristocrat who is racist and classist.

Exactly , It seems too me all Kerry wants is man power... and he wants too be someone important.. He believes in Gay Marriages which are totally against the Bible and Mine. I hate too see two -*BAD WORD*-s making out on TV when Kerry becomes president.. if he becomes president because there will be more gay reality shows and gay parades.. christ. Plus Kerry is just another flipflop liar.

come up with a better reason next time please.

Hmm, the company my dad worked for is not on the list. They sent all their work to Taiwan because rather then paying my dad $12/hr, they could pay people 15 cents and hr. He actually even had to train his replacement for over there. Think about how that must have felt, especially for all those other people in the list of companies.

And Syrus - Outsourced means the company went over seas, not failed. Thanks to bush, they sent most of their work over seas to cheaper countries where they could gain more profit (like those CEO's really need more money) by paying workers less. Yes, I'll agree it helps the people over there, but it's not worth costing our own people their jobs.

Posted

I voted for bush, despite what you all think we all made a decesion to go to war once you make a decesion like that you cannot go back on it.

You think the soilders in iraq have it bad now? I am in the military and since bush has been in office we been getting better funding, pay raises, better resources and equipment. Kerry wants to downsize the military and cut our funding, he was a navy liutenant only thing he would of saw which I believe he is a navy pilot was some air and ground and the bombs he dropped.

You may say bush has done some really bad things for the country but your ignoring all the good things that he has done too. Tax cuts for the rich, what this does it take the wieght off big companies and lets them use the extra money towards something else like hiring more american employees instead of out sourcing like suggested. Gay rights, I don't believe they are anything special, if we were meant to have relations with the same gender then god would of put some kind of organ for that purpose. I don't believe in gay marriage and I don't believe in special rights just because you are gay. In Gay I classify all genders not just males like some ppl posting you can't exclude one gender just because they are female.

Continuing on civilian casualties are apart of war you have to be completely cut throat when it comes down too it you can't feel any emotion for the enemy. What bush did for the illegal immigrants I thought was wrong but they can be fixed easily.

One of the biggest things hurting our country right now are immigrants looking for a better life and the american dream. The only thing happening is they are firing hard working native born americans for illegals that work for half the pay. Thats not right and it shouldn't happen, I believe that we should close off our borders to immigrants for a while and get back on our feet.

The only ones who should be worried about america is americans its no one else business what we do we have been saving countries for a while now and I think we know what were doing, for gods sake every country we go to war with we help rebuild and in the end they say that we owe them money thats where ur big deficent comes from . And the curent state of the economy is due to economic events the happen in a cycle its just the way it is we will again soon be economically strong once again its just a matter of time.

Hempz may be a bit misguided but I have to agree with the comment of Kerry Flip floping from subject to subject to get the vote I was so suprised he didn't pick a female vice president to get the female vote. WOMD they found serum and I believe they said they found even more the other day on cnn. And just because they don't have them now doesn't meant they didn't have them if you noticed how much time saddam was buying he could of shipped them off for safe keeping somewhere if he wanted.

I am a united states sailor and I know me and all the marines, army, don't know about the airforce, are voting bush because he has been one of the best presidents to use.

Well, having been unemployed for several months now, I'm irritated that government has voted FOR outsourcing jobs to India and offer tax incentives for doing so - however, this is a democracy and as such it requires the vote of a congress - not just one person. One person making all the decisions is a monarchy. The USA is not a monarchy, Bush did not make the major decision to outsource jobs. Let's get the facts straight about who is behind the outsourcing of jobs.....congress. You see here in America, congressional votes are complete BS. One congressman might sway a decision one way or the other soley based on what it can do for him personally by making his own personal amendments to a bill. That is COMPLETE corruption.

One president can't change that so easily, especially when they face a slew of lobbyists who are mostly supported by foreign nationals. As for the military support, masterdrake said it perfectly....the military has seen a continual increase in support. Finally they have tossed out armament and defense items from WW2 and Vietnam and replaced them with things that makes the military better. Better living, better equipment, better support. That matters.

This poll however, is worthless, and evident that Bush is leading due to the number of foreigners that have voted for Kerry - but have no vote rights whatsoever. If an admin can retrack the IP of each voter, make sure they are US citizens, and retally - Bush will be leading easily.

AP - you forgot Merrill Lynch. blum.gif

That's pretty lame because Kerry supports gay's
He does not support gay marriage.

and he has been caught in so many lies and also believes in abortion

That is not a black and white issue. There are different levels of "believing in abortion". Saying that any woman can walk in off the street an abort her fetus is different than saying women who are pregnant because they are victims of rape and will also most likely die of complications during childbirth can have an abortion.

and for one Kerry voted for the Iraqi War.
There was no Iraqi War, the senate did not even vote on it, let alone p!@#$%^&* a declaration of war. He did not even vote for the wishy-washy resolution to authorize "use of force," which if anyone challenged it in the Supreme Court, would have been quickly identified as uncons!@#$%^&*utional.

Kerry Flipflops .. example... kerry talks too iron workers hes for unions when he talks to independent workers hes against unions.

This is what politicians do. When Bush spoke to a bunch of the richest people in the US, he called them his "base." Do you think that when he speaks to iron workers, he tells them that they are less important to him than the rich folk? And what about these claims for small government? Did you notice what our budget was?

He dicrased his country and threw all his medals out.
Fighting in vietnam compared to avoiding having to serve by joining the coast guard and then being essentially fired from that very position. Hmm, I think Kerry wins this one.

Bush says what he believes I would rather have my kids under bush then kerry, I feel safe, kerry thinks he can deal with the terrorists by saying ' hey, lets stop fighting' and bush is like " Lets kill the -*BAD WORD*-s "  I  don't believe  terrorists should be given a chance, I really don't.

What is this confusion between terrorists and Iraqis that the majority of America has? Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden were worst enemies until the United States came along, and then they were second-worst enemies. Iraq not only has never attacked the United States, it has not even threatened the United States.

Osama Bin Laden was a member of a terrorist organization devoted to dis!@#$%^&*embling secular government in the middle east until Al Queda started. Saddam Hussein was the last secular leader in the region, and Bin Laden's chief nemesis.

The United States has removed a moderate ruler (who oppressed and murdered thousands) and installed a fundamentalist islamic regime that happens to be a democracy.

But thats just me, if kerry does and I hope he doesn't .. if he gets president there will be more chaos then there is today, he doesn't even have plans too run this country, its just man power, its like a noob in tw wanting sysop there , its nothing.

... interesting theory.

Anyway, I didnt read any more posts in this thread past this one, because I assume they are all of the same tone.

Posted
The war isn't a problem,  and it's no longer a problem, bush is fighting against terrorism stopping it from spreading keeping people alive,  Bush is slowly defeating Terroism in the middle east. and its keeping ppl alive out there, its nothing too do with our country but he's helping others, It doesn't mean -*BAD WORD*- if kerry is against the war, its the only excuse you democrats have against bush because kerry against war, Kerry is a Liar and  a Bill Clinton Jr. we don't need another of those, bush is leading our country well, he is also making more jobs for people and more industries.  Some of you are just still kids and do not understand and only say what your parents are saying. The soldiers aren't a problem either they signed up, they want too defend our country by eliminating terrorist and they are, there would be more attacks on america if bush hadn't done anything.

besides.. Ha you think you can just stop terroism? they started this war, we are going too finish it.  Kerry half of the time doesn't know what he is talking about.. he is only saying what the people want too hear. He has no idea what he will do for the future if he does become president. And sitting down and talking with the terrioists wont work, they will keep doing what they are doing untill they get what they want.

Oh god, I'm sorry. I just had to keep reading, and then I saw this.

Did you not notice that there is more terrorism today than there was 5 years ago? That there is a universal increase in every region of the world? We're winning you say?

We don't need another Clinton? Not another economic expansion!

"They" started this war? Say what? Read my previous post about the difference between Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. Did you know they are different people, not "Generic Arabic Evildoer"?

Now time out about Kerry not knowing what to do.

Did you know that John Kerry is a Senator, and has been for awhile? Okay, good. Now did you know that George Bush's greatest achievement was being the Governor of Texas, which, by the way, went into economic ruin during his time there.

Kerry knows exactly what he's doing, and I don't see what could have given you the picture otherwise.

Okay, thats that for that post. Can't deal with it more. I will now plunge ahead and read the next posts, replying one by one in utter awe.

Posted
If I was American, I'd vote for Kerry. I find that Bush did a very bad job during his 4 years term and that he deserves to be driven out of the White House.

Few reasons I wouldn't vote for him:

- suspected of having rigged the 2000's elections

- lied about the reasons of going to war against Iraq

--> war in Iraq costs the american people 3.9 billion a month

--> no WMDs have been found yet

- biggest deficit seen during the great depression

- against gay marriages

- abandonned the Kyoto treaty

- around 3 million jobs lost

- tax cuts for the wealthier people... but what about the rest of the population?

I'm very displeased to know he was also the first american president to have a criminal background. He also avoided conscription during Vietnam, thanks to his dad. Plus, he handled foreign policy in such a way... that I have difficulty describing it with words. Iraq, Haiti and Venezuela are good exemples.

I don't know what to expect from Kerry if he gets elected in November. I think it'll be one of the biggest challenge an american president will have to face, due to the enormous problems Bush's administration have caused. I sincerly hope the american people gets something better than what it has right now.

The 2000 election wasn't rigged... the whole situation is just insane. Best not to even go back there, but both Republicans and Democrats were tripping over themselves lying and going back on their platforms to try to win the election.

The war in Iraq costs most than that. It was $mega_shok.gif billion up front and isn't it like $120 billion this next year? I think thats closer to $9-$10 billion a month without doing the math.

But otherwise, you're right, and I wish you were American so you could vote.
