Kilo Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 In my opinion, we need more cool things poor people can afford and fewer cool things we'll be able to afford in 6 months.
NinjaMantis Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 In 6 months, we'll have gone by 2 resets, so you won't have much you can afford. Hypnotic Kirby, '04! Bomook Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 When the new HS is up, there will be a new item system; and by the looks of it, the items in general will be more affordable. It won't be like right now with a maximum upgrade limit or with enhancers (eliminating the "halt" currently experienced by poor people as they are stopped at 10 upgrades and have to save up for an enhancer) .
Lanvalk Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 I think a maximum upgrade limit of sorts would be a nice keep, though. It encourages people to plan out upgrades, and customize their ship, rather than just maximize everything and have everyone in the same ship, practically.
KoTD Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 its amazing how fast we went from a trash talk topic to a zone development topic :wtfwtf: :wtfwtf: :wtfwtf: "I'd rather die hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not."-Kurt Cobain
★ Dav Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 this topiuc needs to be moved. Anywy i hope the new buy system make it easier for newbies to get a usefull ship. SSCC Desert Storm OwnerSSforum Admin
FunkmastaD Posted July 12, 2004 Report Posted July 12, 2004 This post has been made with Recycled Trash and is now in zone development I really do hope that the new items system helps out starting players more than it divides the rich and poor like it does now The more the light shines through meI pretend to close my eyes. The more the dark consumes meI pretend I'm burning bright.

If the new system allows for rapid initial devolpment which slows down nearer the end as cosos rise, but final upgrads to not give huge advantages the newbs v vets will be alot more balanced. Kilo Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 In 6 months, we'll have gone by 2 resets, so you won't have much you can afford.Well, I have not been through a reset in HS yet, being the newbie that I am, so I don't know how often they occur.
scarface.nl Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 about every 3 months or so. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v166/ktthesleepybunny/LOLSIG.gifhttp://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b255/JoshDyamond/molewhack.png
★ Dav Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 resets are very annoying, especially if you do not play often and are making slow progress. I think it would be nice if the new system makes getting to the end point (all ships maxed) took a very long time even for the vets that play every free hour they have. That way money would stay low and resets are needed less often. This methord only works if progress is fast to begin with and becomes a more drawn out process as it nears the end.
