I am a fairly amateur programmer and i am looking to make an extremely simple bot with a specific purpose, otherwise i wouldn't be looking to get into bot development at all.

 

Does anyone know a simple, easy to read, newbie friendly, guide to making a module in an existing bot or just making a bot.

 

I'm sure once i'm started, i'll be fine. I just need to know how to get started.

 

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I learned by cracking open plugins and looking at their internals. Im pretty sure all of the plugins on my website have a source avaialble, so if you want to check those out youre welcome to them

well twcore comes with pretty good do-*BAD WORD*-entation as well as a bare-bones example "bot"

What language do you program in? TWcore is java and mervbot is c/c++

i dont do either yet..

 

i will be starting java in september and i understand that twcore uses java and since i play tw i thought i would learn the basics of getting a bot started

 

theres a specific type of basic bot i want to make.
