Kitchen SinK Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 But how did this start?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> This started when I put together a new machine with this video card (radeon 9800 pro 128) . My old system plays it fine. I installed continuum .38 and then the .39pr1 download. Same as I did in my old Rig. I have talked to a few other Radeon Users out there and at least 1 has the same problem on his radeon 9700. I think it has something to do with the vid card--though what I do not know. This card Plays wicked hard to run games like FARCRY a direct x 9b game real well. I have no probs except in Continuum. I use the same monitor, mouse and keyboard-- other than that my machine is all new. ★ SOS Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 Well, try messing with the BIOS settings for AGP. If drivers don't help, that might. I can't imagine what else could be done - sounds like a (very odd) hardware problem. Hard to understand, too, without seeing it. I assume you have tried VSync on?
Guest Guest Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 I just had to re-install XP after a virus and now I have the SAME problem. Continuum worked great yesterday and now it jumps all over regardless of settings. I hope someone can find a solution!
Bargeld Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 In the game's advanced options, try forcing 'tiles' into memory (and try some others if you want). Sysop - SSCX Alpha West SVS
