Isn't that what political discussion is all about?

Ya know, I was thinking, since foreigners and wanna-be advocates seem to hate US POLICY doesn't it make more sense for the US to do as it pleases? Yah, I thought so too.

typical american at!@#$%^&*ude.

so, the fact that so many people disapprove of yuor country policies doesn't even ring a small bell?

are you so dense as to refuse any arguments, even factual ones, instantly throwing the, away because of what you call "hate"?

Do you question your gov. actions or do you take for them for granted? I'm not even talking about domestic decisions, but international ones.

I see you react, brandishing the "hater" flag and the "ooooh, look! finger pointers!"...so in your opinion, everything is good in a perfect world?

I don't understand...

You're really the only culture i know of (and I have my fair share of travels) that is refusing so much to be touched by criticism.

I simply can't fathom why you can't even admit some simplest things, disclosed datas from your own gov and agencies. They always did it because your leaders are always motivated by some higher moral ground that foreigners just can't understand.

What's up with your leaders? are they like Kings, put in office by some divine twist of fate? some Pharaos? Mythic Warrior from the White House? what's wrong with you guys?

Where are you from Bacchus? Since we are so 'weak' on criticism, I would like to know your location/culture so that I can offer my "political view" of it. I mean all is fair in love and politics.

Now you've reached an annoying level like never before Tascar. I made a little research, and for the political board only, you accused people of finger pointing at least 9 times. Like Bacchus said, why _can't you_ admit AT LEAST some of the facts we are showing you.

All I can say is ROFLMFAO. Considering you are speaking of the country that founded democracy as we know it, i'll let that roll off my back.

While I wont go into the different scenarios that have scuplted both european and american idealisms and governments, I will touch on a few things.

Yes, in general the average United States citizen has an image of America being a great white horse coming to save the day and purge evil. Lots of things can be attributed as the cause of this ideology, but I'll pin most of the explination on a little engagement called WWII, and the allies defeat of Germany. Yeah.. that was the last major conflict that we've played a white horse roll.

Steming from the above, let me just say that we do not *have* to divulge anything to any country if we don't choose to do so. The "lets hold hands and do everything possible to avoid conflict" at!@#$%^&*tude is what got mainland Europe in trouble back in the late 30's. Europeans cannot understand americans for the same reason Americans cannot understand Europeans, two different ideologies are at play. European countries have had political relations, wars, alliances, etc for nearly since the dawn of recorded history, and the scene that we have now in Europe is all resultant of political ties steming from the 1500's through the nationalism movement. They know eachother... they are all intertwined. Us dirty yanks have our on-going experiment going on across the ocean, which has just been going on for around 200 years. Get the point?

It is truely a shame that the internation community has turned on us so quickly, It was only 60 years ago today that an allied force comprised of americans, canadians, and british landed on the beaches of normandy and spearheaded the eventual liberation of Europe. It was only 50 years ago that we poured billions of dollars in free money to rebuild your nations. It was only 40 years ago that we undertook the battle against Russia to keep them from filling the power-vacuum of a war-torn Europe. It was only 10 years ago that we prevented Saddam Huessein from creating a practical oil-monopoly in the middle east. And now, in present day we remove the worst modern day dictator from power (under whatever pretenses, I dont care if President Bush said "I drank my -*BAD WORD*- a few to many beers last night, hit my head on the presidential bed before passing out, and in my dreams a giant pink panda bear dancing the sugar plum fairy told me to go hunt down Saddam.. so thats what we're gonna do by god!!" ) you turn on us in a heartbeat. Good war or bad war, I just thought it was pretty funny that when our troops did get into iraq, and baghdad.. we found crates of weapons and munitions from france and russia, the 2 countries most adamantly against us invading. Sore that we removed a money source?? Who knows =)

That is all, If i remember to check back on the forums I might reply to any responses. Sorry for the novel.

Worthless.

LOL, quite literally rofl.

Welcome to the boards, may you drink well and engage in pleasant conversation.

*note to all concerned*

I've found that political forums (especially on forum systems that are dedicated to games) are the place where you are least likely to change anyones opinion on anything.

The country that founded democracy, lol, thats funny, i wont go there, but work it out yourself.

I'll give you the WWII point, that was very nice of you. Actually It seems Europe has really been at war with each other in some part for a long time, were not as buddyish as people think.

The reason you gave lots of money to rebuild, was kinda motivated by the fact you wanted to stop the spread of communism, what with it taking hold in poor countrys more easily, not that we didnt want the money, it was great, but i thought i'd point it out. And if your refering to the cold war as this battle with russia, that was really you two growling at each other. And lets not pretend that America has never sold weapons to these countries, isnt there a thread around here on that.

PS. sorry about the disjointedness of this reply, im mul!@#$%^&*asking.

I was going to ask for a translation for the French Speak, too.

You see, I only know the basic French Phrases, Like, "I surrender' and 'Fromage D'ame' A is supposed to have a '^' above it, but i'm too lazy to figure that out right now.

Note: The U.S. Is a Republic, Not a democracy, If it was a democracy, It would of long ago destroyed itself. I believe it's Vatican City ( A country) that has the only true democracy.

Manus, very true -- it's doubtful that anyone will change their mind, but it's somewhat interesting to know their point of view.

Battleship - Are you making the !@#$%^&*umption that democracy, as you know it, consists of heavy corruption, and therefore the cause of a nations downfall?

I've never seen anything in my life work well or flow smoothly, when it has tried to be "fair to all parties". That's just a fact of life.

This is true, and it is a common mistake to call the United States government a democracy, it is truely a republic. The only case where we are a democracy is our election of presidents, but I guess even then that could be argued with the whole electoral college bit

Notice I said "Democracy as we know it", I wont go any further (again another case of jumping the gun without reading the comment)

I did make the point of us preventing Russia from engulfing a war-torn Europe, and make no mistake the "Cold War" was truely a war. That span of time was the closest the world ever been to not existing. If you want to downplay the power of 1000's of icbm's on each side, you're a fool. It was also more than "you two growling at eachother".. It was the United States growling on behald of ourself and war-torn Europe. Make no mistake, had we not took a stand then you all would be working the fields right now so you could meet your monthly grain quota to send to moscow.
