Guest Joe Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 hey, I'm trying to set up SS on my laptop connected thru a network. I can't seem to download a zone list from the servers. all the servers are default and they appear to be right. If anyone could help it would be appreciated greatly. I have some victoms that need to be taken care of from work . Thanks! Quote
Bargeld Posted June 4, 2004 Report Posted June 4, 2004 Your workplace might have a firewall/router which restricts the network traffic needed to play SS/Continuum. If you have WindowsXP... right click on Network Neighborhood and choose properties, Double click Local area connection. In the new dialog box, click properties, then go to the advanced tab. Make sure that the checkbox here IS NOT CHECKED. K, I hope that was clear and concise. Quote

Guest Guest Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 I can't find any firewall set up on this computer but I could see there being one in the network for sure. I think head office will know if I'm doin something fishy other than work(Big brother is watching you). I'll look into it further and maybe ask again later...thanks for tryin tho Quote
Dav Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 probably, especially in an office, games is one of the first things thay will prevent. Quote
