Arianax Posted June 2, 2004 Report Posted June 2, 2004 When the whole prisoner abuse thing came up in the news, i found a lot of countries over here seemed to assume that Monsieur Rumsfeld should resign, I was just wondering whether in the old US they were thinking the same thing...
Yupa Posted June 2, 2004 Report Posted June 2, 2004 who knows - show me absolute proof it was his fault and sure
Arianax Posted June 2, 2004 Author Report Posted June 2, 2004 Oh, i just dont like the -*BAD WORD*-. I was wondering what the american opinion of him was, In the UK theres this impressionist show called Dead Ringers, V. funny, does a really good bush, but Rumsfeld they show as really evil... obviously i dislike him for other reasons...I digress.
Tascar Posted June 2, 2004 Report Posted June 2, 2004 Tony Blair seems to support Bush/Rumsfeld, and if things get tough over here, those are the two people that will be needed most to resolve things. This is not peacetime and requires people who can make tough decisions, and whom have to trust in the people they represent to act accordingly.
A Soldier Posted June 2, 2004 Report Posted June 2, 2004 Rumsfeld? I don't see what's wrong with that guy... when the two planes crashed into the twin towers, he suggested Bush to immediatly attack Iraq, as the world's attention would have been elsewhere. Nothing wrong with that uh? Remember Blix's 12 thousands pages report? US tore out around 8 thousands pages of it right? Well someone said in it that he should be accused of war crimes. But hey, anybody can be accused of that so pfft! Go Rummy!
Manus Celer Dei Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 who knows - show me absolute proof it was his fault and sureIt isn't that it was directly his FAULT, but in the position he is in it is his RESPONSIBILITY to see that things like this do not happen. Since he did not, at the very least he was negligent and should be let go. As for war crimes, the day a member of an American administration past or present is presented at a war crimes tribunal is the day I eat my hat. Americans are immune to international law, this is because America says so.
Arianax Posted June 3, 2004 Author Report Posted June 3, 2004 I dont like him because of the 'never have so many, been so wrong about so much' speech, a take off of winston Churchill about the anti-war people, he didnt actually explain why, apparently going to war made them wrong, for that i dont like him. plus he's got a weird voice
