Gold! Posted May 22, 2004 Report Posted May 22, 2004 If you have installed continuum recently you might have notied a handful of the zones included in the initial zone list are dead. When do you plan on updating the list and how would a zone make sure they where part of that initial install server listing? Personal Comment: If you want new zones to become successful and continuum to live on then update the list for god sakes. It cant be that hard. :/
Bargeld Posted May 22, 2004 Report Posted May 22, 2004 Try clciking on Zones, then Download new zones. The feature was added specifically for this purpose. Until a new version of the game is released, we can't expect a new version of the installer (considering that v39pr1 doesn't even have an installer now.)
Hexx Posted May 22, 2004 Report Posted May 22, 2004 Well mine doesn't do any harm as in its A OKAY even though I uninstall it then install it again! Well there is a new problem that when you download anything it becomes like either a virus, malfunction (in the download) and/or any kinds of other problems

The point I am trying to make is how do you expect new/older zones to gain newplayers when they arent displayed on the initial zone list. New players dont really knowwhats going on in when they first install the game. Because of this they end up onlyentering the highly populated zones such as eg, tw, and dsb on the default list. --- Maybe they should make the new version (if it ever comes out :/ ) populate the initialzone list depending on zone activity. The initial zone list should not be set in stone untilthe next version comes out. Right now you are not encouraging success among newand promising zones to grow.
»i88gerbils Posted May 22, 2004 Report Posted May 22, 2004 I agree with Gold! The problem is not quite of the nature of the old list problem. However, I am disappointed that we are once again facing problems where not everyone can connect to a directory server or the zone list appears somewhat "dead". It wasn't so long ago that we tried to update that as much as possible. Maybe we need to stop having a "Continuum installer" and go with what we did for SubSpace 1.34 distributions.
