Guest qan Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 I've recently found two mildly irritating bugs: 1. Under XP, if you use Control+Escape to bring up the Start Menu while running Continuum, you stand a very good chance of completely locking up your computer. It appears to be a bug in loading the external chat window, which never even spawns on the task bar. You can open up the Task Manager after about 5 minutes and csrss.exe will be using about 30-36% of the resources, with the remaining being used by Continuum. After encountering this problem, your only recourse is to hit reset or power down manually. 2. If you have a large macro with a link at the end, and the macro is too long to be displayed on a chat line (thus cutting the link off), if you Alt+Tab out of Continuum, it will kill the Continuum process entirely. I'm !@#$%^&*uming this is because it tries to create the link inside the chat window, but can't get all the information for it, leaving no choice but to shut the -*BAD WORD*- down. Quote
Dav Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 its just the instabbility of windows. I usually have no prblems with start menu or Long macros but i have ample processor power. Quote
Bargeld Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 The issues you describe about continuum are specific to your machine, and not a bug in the client. The link thing is a new one that I'll try, but the rest of your descriptions sound like they are caused by something else, probably multiple other things. As far as the chat window thing, that means something is stealing focus, most likely spyware or adware, maybe a messenger service like msn or yahoo. Do the standard reinstall/update of drivers, drirectX, etc. FYI:http://www.bargeld.us/storage/chatwindow.jpg Quote
