Blackout on Continuum startup

My friend was having issues with this. She would enter a zone, then it would minimize and she would click on it, and a it would be a black screen. I talked with some mods on tw and they didn't know so I figured I'd try here. What does she have to change?

It would minimize? That's where to begin I'd say. Tell him to close all other programs before running Continuum. Seems like something is stealing focus.
