Tascar Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 I believe that a good part of the USA just got a bit more vengeful after hearing about the latest internet broadcasted slaying from an Islamic terrorist group. How do you feel about it? Will the hatred ever stop there? How long? It will take generations to overcome the hatred between the two countries. What can possibly be done to reverse it today?

Have you been oblivious to the Iraqi sediment towards Americans? More than 50% of active polling Americans say 'Get Out' yet you say we're doing the right thing? They slay a contractor whose sole motivation was to rebuild and regenerate lives in Iraq...and we're doing the right thing?

Not all islamic people are liek that me my self i say no one should be killing any one. The only reason they are beheading people if becuase the US doesnt give a -*BAD WORD*- about iraq. US gives Isreal guns and weapons that they take to use on Iraq. Iraqies have old -*BAD WORD*- guns from 40+ years ago. When isreal starts firing off on iraq its alright when iraq retaliates they are terrorists. Thats the exact reason 9/11 happened it wasnt done by usma bin laden it was buy another guy but does US care no. I watch Aljazera an arabic news broadcast station on satalite. I was watching this little boy go into the hospital with a huge hole in his somach with his guts surging out becuase isreal bombed his house. to answer your answer tas no america is not doing the right thing at all. They are taking to much innocent lives that shoudnt have died. If this was truly a fight against terrorism then why arent the terrorist dieng instead of the kids. my 2 cents

The reason other people are dying is because they are Iraqis that decide to go against the U.S. soldiers, and have no reason besides "kill America". They sure as -*BAD WORD*- aren't fighting for Suddam anymore, because he has been captured. Therefore, they are either extreme muslims thinking the supposed same as the 9/11 suicide pilots, that each american they kill will mean more praise from Allah, or they just want to kill Americans. I am talking about most of the Iraqis attacking soldiers currently, btw. Don't confuse me with any citizen in Iraq or Muslims.
Tascar Posted May 17, 2004 Author Report Posted May 17, 2004 Well - here's proof that hatred is hard to beat. I think that some truth has to be found here among both the US and Iraq. First, I think the whole Israeli / Palestinian thing is unfixable. Both sides stand in defense of the slightest little opposition....which creates fierce retaliation. But to say that the USA doesn't care about Iraq is wrong. Why is America there? Well, I think the first reason was to get rid of a militant leader - Hussein in the interest of the Iraqi people and the interest of the world. If you can sit there and believe to yourself that Saddam wouldn't have done anything with WMD's, perhaps it's time for a reality check. Unforatunately, what we have today is a multi-fold problem... first, we have some left-over Iraqi Hussein loyalists who want to regain control. Next we have those types siding with genuine terrorists who have sought shelter in Iraq. Now, consider that we are talking about 10-20% of the population, that is enough people to stir up a lot of anti-USA hate in the region. Hence, we have what we have today - massive widespread hatred of the US - and US retaliation. So what is the solution now - if we all want to dwell on history, about 9/11, about innocent lives in Iraq, about hatred - we will never fix anything. I think the US's goal now is to establish some type of democratic control - DEMOCRATIC meaning that it is FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE of Iraq. When that happens, Iraq can grow by itself, without outside help from anyone....just Iraq, helping Iraq. That's what the goal is. The problem is that Iraqi's and apparently many Musilim believe that the US is there to take over the country. That could not be FURTHER from the truth. MC - the US has interest in Iraq because of the benefits of an organized Iraqi government in that region, free trade exporting (yes OIL that is Iraq's number 1 export), and to PREVENT that area from completely destroying itself. Learn more about the region MC before you tell the USA that it is a powerhungry mongrel. If we leave now, Iraq will become Sudan or Somolia - nothing good can come from that.

USA shouldn't be FORCING a Democracy in any country they WANT!. Vegito Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 I have seen such things in my life which have taken away my humanity. I watched the beheading a few times. Well it didn't do anything for me. Nin64 is right, and always remember you can't believe everything you hear. Everyone in the world has an agenda, from the smallest of actions to the largest of actions. There is always something behind it, its often money, love, hate(same as love), power, or lust... amoung other things. So when you pick up the newspaper, that writer/editor had an agenda. Bush has an agenda, and so do the terrorists. You may not know what it is now, or ever, but just know that it is there behind everything.
