Really, what's the point of it? If I'm using a one bounty Warbird and I kill a one hundred bounty Lancaster does it really matter that I have a one bounty Javelin? I mean, really. Besides, the way I do stuff, I'd rather buy one ship, and get a few upgrades, then another and get a few upgrades, then maybe max one of them, and go around maxing the rest. As it is, people just get multiple accounts. It's discouraging using more than one ship. Some ships have a distinct advantage over others, so it's kinda unfair to encourage using only one ship. It also makes it a bit more boring. Taking it away would encourage variety, and therefore interest. I really don't see why it was put there in the first place, though I'm sure there was a reason. Anyway, my suggestion would of course be taking away the multiple ship formula. Or I'd at least like to understand why it's here now.

Here's my take on it.

Let's say you've got a person, like me. I've got a 49bty ship that kills things easily. But, it's so strong, so I earn less money to match my power. So, I buy a 1bty ship. Then, I get ridiculous cash, yet again?

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The multiple-ship formula exists because it !@#$%^&*umes that if your going to have enough money to own multiple ships, you have good ships. Not many people will buy multiple ships if they don't have 1 good ship.

It doesn't exactly discourage buying multiple ships. I don't buy multiple ships because I enjoy getting large amounts of cash, and I only use this one ship. Meanwhile, Lanvalk, for instance, has 5 ships. She doesn't care about the multiple ship formula, she's just in it for fun and flagging.

The multiple ship formula is around to make sure people don't go around with 7 ships fully maxed and earn just as much cash as one person with 1 fully maxed ship (like moi).

I didn't say people wouldn't do it. But, the discouragement is still there, regardless of whether you care about it or not. And, does it matter if you're really rich? A lot of people wouldn't buy a second ship if they didn't already have an awesome one, but a lot of them would. So, let's use a real life analogy. You have 5 billion dollars in the bank account, and you get a job at McDonalds. You have 5 cars, a limo, a helicopter, 3 houses.... Should you only get paid 2 dollars an hour, because you have more money? I don't see any sense in it at all. You're doing the same work some guy without a 49 bounty ship is doing, and it's not like you're taking his job. So, you should get the same cash he does when you manage to take down the 500 bounty super/shields guy. It makes perfect sense to me.

actually originally, there used to be only one equation regardless of the amount of ships you have; and that was equal to the current multiple ship formula. The single ship formula was suggested as a means to help newbies gain more money. So technically it wasn't the multiple ship formula that was added, it was the single ship formula. As in the analogy, the billionaire would get paid the same, and it would be the McDonald's worker being paid $100 an hour blum.gif .

I'm not saying there aren't any flaws to the current system, though. Maybe it will get altered when the new item system comes in :D , but until then, I doubt realistically that any changes will be made on it.

No, you have a 49 bounty ship.  56 is maxed, I think.

doesnt take much to max your 49, to get it there you usually have 10 slot and antideath.

It's 50. Maxxed would mean taking EVERYTHING, and quite frankly, a single decoy and stronger guns aren't needed to make my ship great.

Thus, I may not have the maximum possible amount of bounty, but it's as high as I'm letting it get.
