Dav Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 I think the prices should vary according to cirtain factors If an item is unpopular it should be cheap but when more and more people buy it in a given time the price should rise. Price should rise and fall comparitivly to related items, e.g is many buy cloak, xradar should rise a little too. Also, make items holedalbe and umlinited numbers and buy myltiple e.g ?buy 10slot:10 You have bought 10 10slots at $200,000 each. Total cost 2,000,000 then get in a ship and equip any stored items: ?equip 10slot 10slot had been equiped and is ready to use Selling items: 2 options 1. at the store where you get 50% of current retail 2. at the trading post where you can set an asking price, sales up for 10 days ?sell 10slot:200000 You 10slot is up for sale at $200,000 If unsold in 10 days it will be returned at no cost when sold: your 10 slot has been sold to %buyer for $200,000 You have recieved 176000. 12% commision was taken. at the trading post you can type ?buy 10slot and you get: 1. %seller @ 200,0002. %seller @ 185,0003. %seller @ 203,000 and to buy: ?buy 10slot 2 You have bought 10slot from %seller at 185,000 Doing this will make the game more interesting, people may buy stuff cheap and wait for price to rise then sell it all to make money (or lose it is they dont do it right) Also it allows sales to be made for items at better prices and allows people to take items from ships and fit them as they please.
Bomook Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 I don't like the equipping items idea; it pretty much just allows people to buy 1 item, and circulate it around for all their ships, making it too easy to get good ships, since they'd only actually be buying an item once, but would be able to use it for all of their ships. The interactive market idea is interesting, but with the new item system, it's probably best left out.

Also allows ibtys to get stuff and save it for when they want to add it.
