chocko_cc Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 4 We have mostly utter trash on the radio, so i rely on the word to spread around for some good bands to listen to, and if any... any local music festivals on. Quote
Dav Posted October 6, 2004 Author Report Posted October 6, 2004 i use HMV and look for some new stuff in there, preview it and if its good i buy. Quote
FunkmastaD Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 LOL buying music, I purchased an mp3 playerIt's worth its weight in CDsFor the amount of time I change what music I want to listen to, I'd have burned CDs everywhere so the mp3 player rocks Quote
Lanvalk Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 I don't listen to music enough to waste cash on that kind of thing ^_^ And new page! ^_^ Quote
nikegurl637 Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 'tis not wasting cash, 'tis an investment. Quote
chocko_cc Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Prepare for a rant... i use HMV and look for some new stuff in there' date=' preview it and if its good i buy.[/quote'] ...HMV sucks, or at least Australia's do. Usually i get word of mouth around get one or two mp3's from a band that I've heard is good, and if it's something that I really like, i would buy it. LOL buying music' date=' I purchased an mp3 player[/quote'] I have a 256mb MP3 player, yet I still prefer the trusty ol' Sony Discman. Most MP3 players have average sound quality and running off one AAA battery sucks, and some MP3 players can't handle songs over 192kbps, and even some 192kbps songs sounds choppy. The discman on the other hand, its music can be pumped out loud, even still, at twice as loud as the MP3 player can handle, it can last a couple more hours longer than the player (although two good AA's can be costly on a regular basis), and the size and the fact using CD's don't bother me.... although I've heard the iPod has good sound quality, but nothing can beat the good-ness of the CD-Player. Mmm... mini iPod for win. Bah. I don't know if its the same in America, but for about less than a hundred dollars more you can get a 10gb or 15gb iPod. RIPOFF! Although it does seem a tad smaller, I like the normal sized iPods better. My brother has one, its awesome, you can play the classic Parachute game on it As for you all music pirates (including me), go buy some CD's sometime! (including me) Sheesh, give the artists some credit they deserve. Plus, I usually buy CD's for the sake of saying "Oh, you know this awesome band -insert band name here-, I have their CD from 10 years ago!" It serves as kind of a... momento or something along the lines of that Quote
FunkmastaD Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I have an RCA LyraI've broken it a few times but thats what a future shop warranty is for It plays well and only takes 1 AAA, so I purchased 2 AAA rechargeables so I can pretty much keep it running non-stop considering the battery dies in shortly after the other one is charged if I keep it running non-stop Quote
chocko_cc Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Yeah, i have two AAA's but i'm not sure how long it's supposed to charge for. My charger automatically turns off after 8 hours. Isn't charge time like 16 hours or something along those lines? Quote
FunkmastaD Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Yeah it goes something along the lines of lasting 10 hours or soAnd the charger I have takes 14 hours to charge.Letting both charge while I'm sleeping and then I can use both batteries to listen to non-stop music Quote
chocko_cc Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 I have a fear that it might blow up on me Quote
