Prepare for a rant...

i use HMV and look for some new stuff in there' date=' preview it and if its good i buy.[/quote']

...HMV sucks, or at least Australia's do. Usually i get word of mouth around get one or two mp3's from a band that I've heard is good, and if it's something that I really like, i would buy it.

LOL buying music' date=' I purchased an mp3 player[/quote']

I have a 256mb MP3 player, yet I still prefer the trusty ol' Sony Discman. Most MP3 players have average sound quality and running off one AAA battery sucks, and some MP3 players can't handle songs over 192kbps, and even some 192kbps songs sounds choppy. The discman on the other hand, its music can be pumped out loud, even still, at twice as loud as the MP3 player can handle, it can last a couple more hours longer than the player (although two good AA's can be costly on a regular basis), and the size and the fact using CD's don't bother me.... although I've heard the iPod has good sound quality, but nothing can beat the good-ness of the CD-Player.

Mmm... mini iPod for win.

Bah. I don't know if its the same in America, but for about less than a hundred dollars more you can get a 10gb or 15gb iPod. RIPOFF! Although it does seem a tad smaller, I like the normal sized iPods better. My brother has one, its awesome, you can play the classic Parachute game on it B)

As for you all music pirates (including me), go buy some CD's sometime! (including me) Sheesh, give the artists some credit they deserve. Plus, I usually buy CD's for the sake of saying "Oh, you know this awesome band -insert band name here-, I have their CD from 10 years ago!" It serves as kind of a... momento or something along the lines of that :D

I have an RCA Lyra

I've broken it a few times but thats what a future shop warranty is for :(

It plays well and only takes 1 AAA, so I purchased 2 AAA rechargeables so I can pretty much keep it running non-stop considering the battery dies in shortly after the other one is charged if I keep it running non-stop
