Kill9mm Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Is there any way to do 16 bit, 24 bit, or 32 bit color depths within the tileset?
Death+ Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Yes there is kill, just talk too me on icq I will fill you in on how too do it.
pixelsoft Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Yes, there is I guess, but you can't use them in SSME or CLE, and if people want to see it they must set 16, 24 or 32 in View -> Options -> Graphics
Kill9mm Posted April 13, 2004 Author Report Posted April 13, 2004 Ok death I'll contact you on icq but you should reply here how to do it so we have a record of it for others.
G.T.O The Judge Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 technically, it will still be 8 bit b/c it uses a custom palette that makes it look richer in quality when using 16, 24, and 32 bit. If tiles were actually 16 bit, then a lot of people would be complaining about frame rate and other -*BAD WORD*-eries.
Himura Kenshin Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 yea its possible jonus made 16 and 32bit tiles for super fortress but we never used them but the 8bit ones
Yupa Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 the question is whether or not the tilesets can actually be used in a zone and if so whether or not they will actually WORK (appear in the depth they should) last I heard, nobody had gotten it to work
