BlueC Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 People neuts flag to hide them, from nme team and traitorious teamates. (TT, this I was called once, but I have no idea why someone would think I am sneaky like the most of you) Can the flags be invisible on radar to the team that dropped them? The flags will only be visible on screen when someone is playing. If so, it will make it hard enough to prevent people from neuting flags. And thus neut flags can go back to the center. This will increase compatativeness as we will all know someone have 19 flags, and should be raped.
Dr Brain Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 I don't think I can hide flags on radar. But I *can* do other things with neuted flags besides drop them in the center. Such as making them owned by the team that dropped them.
EdTheInvincible Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 Cool. Now it willl be possible to quickwin with a shipchange. Yay!
Dav Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 lol the current workings is good, if a team newts the flags then jp is raised and ythe flagging teams fight for longer kepping people in play longer. It may be nice if somthing can be added where the location of the flage can be fpound by typing ?buy flags it costs say 1k butb it makes defending harder cause hiding them doesnt work.
»D1st0rt Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 I want to see basing again, it seems to be a lost art
BlueC Posted April 13, 2004 Author Report Posted April 13, 2004 Well namely Kirby tend to neut flags one by one in the middle of no where and then he comes in late at night and wins. Thats why I suggest that flags must be dropped, and neut flags go back to center.Quickwinning=bad/evil/hitler n/m... this is stupid. Just look at Extrem Games (the most bleater example for basing) Perhaps people are just teaming flag ASSS in hs.Not sexy.
Coenny Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 whats not sexy about a good -*BAD WORD*-?anyway there is nothin wrong with the flagging system, it is just that the newer players have not developed their flagging skills yet. the only way to do that is to flag..although it is boring at first, once you get good, it is no problem. for example one of the best flaggers (siaon) has no problem finding flags that are neuted in random places, (neither does funk, hyp, mooky, or many of the other vets). He just focuses on finding flags instead of fighting. and thats all that needs to be done, the newer players need to focus more on flagging and develop skills. when our population increases agian there will be no problems with this
Dav Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 most people have no problem finding them, its just that sweeping the sectors can take a weile if they are nt in the common locations.
FunkmastaD Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 whats not sexy about a good -*BAD WORD*-? - CoennyLMAO lolI'm gonna have to agree with Coenny on this one...strange that doesn't sound like something I'd say Hmmmm....Not the -*BAD WORD*- thing...actually let me think about that for a second Flagging doesn't need to be changed right now.To solve any unwanted sneaky people stealing your flags from your own team is pretty easy. It's called ?freqkick and its very useful.Just join a priv freq and don't give out the number to people you don't like/want on your team and if someone does manage to make it on BAM lay on the ?freqkick and they are gone. I also have to point out one more thing Just look at Extrem Games (the most bleater example for basing) - BlueCAlthough I have not been to EG in a long time and I'm not bashing them but HS is trying to be different from other zones so copying another style isn't going to happen
Siaon Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 No changes needed there, flags are not neuted to hide them from teammates, they are neuted rather because you dont want to wait and because you want to pick them up later. As for publics, well, owndropping can be a problem(I for one will join a public freq just to find out where its flags are), but you should defend your flags anyway.
Dav Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 most flaggers go priv, pub freqs usuakllt habe 1btys and people that want to go on a massacre
