numpf Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 can the forum be set to autolock/close topics that haven't been posted to for X time? Re-*BAD WORD*-s who reincarnate dead threads need to go away. Maybe there are some threads that are appropriate to revive, but I've never seen one. Pinned/stickies/whatever should obviously be exempt. -numpf
Dr Brain Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 You should have gone looking for the oldest thread you could find, and post it on that Good idea, tho.
Will+ Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 I somewhat agree. However, the forums search ability was put in place so that users could find old threads and then post on them to not have to create another, which in essence would be a waste of space. As long as it's not abused by posting meaningless gibberish, it shouldn't be a problem. Until/if the hack is put in, if you notice users being idiots with old threads, let a moderator or admin know. Moved to the forum request.
»Ducky Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 I just bumbed about 10 old posts in the lounge... This is bad? Whats the difference between me spamming one day out of every month than everyday in general
Dav Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 well if topics are becoming a waste of time and offtopic they are closed anyway.
