RADAR BLIP COLORS?

I usually play in the Trench Wars zone, and I'm involved with Warbird dueling.

 

Over time, I figured ways to tweak my client settings to help a bit in dueling.

 

But there is 1 thing I haven't figured out yet, and think I can't do anything to change this unless a new Continuum version addresses my concerns.

 

I assume, that the BLIPS on the RADAR WINDOW just use a simple PutPixel() function. Unfortunately, they didn't add some GUI code that could let you adjust RADAR BLIP colors.

 

What really frustrates me, is that in continuum under OPTIONS, you don't have a way to change BLIP COLORS for Radar.

 

Right Now:

 

Friends = Yellow blip

Foes less than target bounty = dark blue

Foes greater than target bounty = white

 

What I would love to see, and it wouldn't be too tough to add. Have a option to change these 3 possible colors for RADAR BLIPS by adjusting their RGB values.

Add some code to OPTIONS>RADAR>.... 3 RADAR BLIP OBJECTS, with RGB value dialog box or even RGB Slidetabs.

 

I want FOES = RED BLIPS!!

 

We have twdd(trench war dueling divisions) 5 vs 5 warbird dueling, and we often use RADAR Sniping tactics. I find seeing a RED BLIP much easier to see, then a dark blue blip while your in the HEAT of battle.

 

Thanks if there ever gets done, I guess I can only dream.

 

Geez Prittk could probably make these chancgs in 30mins or less.

I sifted thru this forum a bit more and found this:

I'll see if I can modify this to get my desired RADAR blip colors.

 

timing 10ms (Milisecs) what? horizontally from left to right.

ROWS? 1 pixel width rows? Ugh, I'll have to open it up and try to make sense of it.

 

Even though I may be successful in modifying this, I still think a much easier

GUI way to change color preferences in continuum should be done for next version.

 

Some of us who are serious about dueling, wana tweak our client to accomodate our needs/desires.

This if for you:

 

Put this in your Zones/SSCU Trench Wars folder

 

 

If you want to take it out, just delete it.

OMG, thanks for such fast response Xeterax. I posted this thread and like 4minutes later you reply with what I wanted.

 

I just tested it and it works, major thanks!!!

 

I thought about why they maybe chose Dark Blue, probably because RED is used for flag carriers. Well in Trench War dueling, no one carries flags..lol..I could careless, and I don't play EG Zone.
