This is another example of the minority setting the views of the majority. Most muslim people just get alng with their daily lives. The minority turns to terrorism and gives the western world the view that all muslims are extreemists.

I don't think that all people in the western world think that all muslims are extremists. But many muslims (I think millions) obviously support the actions of islamic terrorists. They even call them martyrs.

Whatever the truth is, I think many people of the region see what is happening in Iraq as the installation of western influence and values and not an opportunity to express their own values in their own way.

They probably do, and I can't blame them. I hold the same opinion myself and that is one of the reasons I actually support the war in Iraq.

I do not blame Muslims for voicing out. What we are doing to them in Iraq is prima facie wrong. However, it is for the greater good in the end, so I think that we need to silence that voice.

true, as long as america set up a goivenmet then leave iraq alone their position in the middle east will be streaghend and they will gain support.

I would just like to state that on face value our actions in Iraq according to international law were illegal and I believe that it was a great mistake for the US in any cir-*BAD WORD*-stance to choose to overl ook the international community as a whole and that the precidence that has been set by this action will haunt us far into the future. The US has made it clear that any country who is willing to spit in the face of the international community can launch a preventive strike against any soverign nation.

yeah I agree... And also, didnt the US start seige on Iraq without authorities (the UN) agreeing... something I heard on the news, I watch CNN every once in a while now, so maybe I can hang into this American politics junk more. I advise plant. to do so too.

Also, have anybody heard about Ceclia Zhang? I'm just wondering if this became worldwide... if not I'll give you a little briefing. In October a girl was abducted from her home in Ontario. She was taken during the night, and the window was found open. Since today police all over the world (or so the news says) have been looking for this girl, reports that were made by police say that she was in China. Yesterday she was found, dead in a contaminated river near her home. Farensics say that she has been there for a while...

moral of the story, police arn't too good at doing their job in Ontario.
