Hi. I was trying to enter continuum and I was trying to remember my password for a name and tried lots of differents ones and now it saids i cant log back on until i wait a few hours wth is up with that i thought it was a few minutes?

I think it's because you loged in with a wrong password too many times.

If you could login with a bad password as often as you liked, you could try millions of them a day (with some software) until you got the right one.

Yeah, I noticed this tonight, to make sure that if you run a bot, it logs in w/ the right password to the name... :/ oopps

yeah happened to me one time at the computer lab in my school...i installed continuum on all of them and someone tried to logon to somebody else's profile with the wrong password too many times and every computer in the school couldn't get on ss (similar IPs i guess)

if it uses proxy it will be the same ip for the whole school.

That is an unfortunate consequence of NAT; one player can ruin it for everyone else on the inside.

indeed. Can SSC sysops get lost PW or at least reset as long as you prove the account is yours?

SSC Biller Ops can reset your password for you. The best way is if you registered your account with a valid email address. Then you can just do ?lostp!@#$%^&*word from another alias, and it will email you.
