Guest Guest1245 Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 Hi. I was trying to enter continuum and I was trying to remember my password for a name and tried lots of differents ones and now it saids i cant log back on until i wait a few hours wth is up with that i thought it was a few minutes?
HypnoticKirby Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 I think it's because you loged in with a wrong password too many times. securty reasons. a wandering marshmallow
Mr Ekted Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 If you could login with a bad password as often as you liked, you could try millions of them a day (with some software) until you got the right one. http://home.maine.rr.com/user/ekted/pics/ssgc.jpg http://www.againsttcpa.com/images/AgainstTCPA-Log01Small.gif
★ CypherJF Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 Yeah, I noticed this tonight, to make sure that if you run a bot, it logs in w/ the right password to the name... :/ oopps Owner/Operator of Omega Fire

Mr Ekted Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 That is an unfortunate consequence of NAT; one player can ruin it for everyone else on the inside. http://home.maine.rr.com/user/ekted/pics/ssgc.jpg http://www.againsttcpa.com/images/AgainstTCPA-Log01Small.gif
★ Dav Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 indeed. Can SSC sysops get lost PW or at least reset as long as you prove the account is yours? SSCC Desert Storm OwnerSSforum Admin
Mr Ekted Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 SSC Biller Ops can reset your password for you. The best way is if you registered your account with a valid email address. Then you can just do ?lostp!@#$%^&*word from another alias, and it will email you. http://home.maine.rr.com/user/ekted/pics/ssgc.jpg http://www.againsttcpa.com/images/AgainstTCPA-Log01Small.gif
