Guest Death$cythe Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 I'll open up continuum, then join Trenchwars. All of a sudden i'll be at my desktop. The chat thing works you know, but then I can't get into the game. It's not the resolution either, it's all the same. Sometimes it works, then sometimes it will minimize again. This happen to anyone before? Please help, thanks a lot. -Epik
Mr Ekted Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 Something you are running is stealing focus, similar to when you alt-tab to a new window. I'm guessing it's either an instant messenger, or some desktop toolbar or active desktop. You should be able to disable the "popup" or "grab focus" feature once you figure out what the offending app is. http://home.maine.rr.com/user/ekted/pics/ssgc.jpg http://www.againsttcpa.com/images/AgainstTCPA-Log01Small.gif
Guest Drumdog81786 Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 I was having the EXACT same problem. I am running SS in an Windows XP environment. I hit the ever popular Ctrl+Alt+Del combo and made sure nothing funky was taking focus. I ended a few unnecessary apps, and then instead of closing the the task manager and clicking the subspace icon, I chose the applications tab on the task manager, highlighted Continuum, and hit the "switch to" button. Im not sure which of those things was the actual solution, but it works fine now. Hope this helped!! -Drum

Guest T T Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 This just started fir me today on my laptop. I came here to find an answer and I found that the "switch to" thing works in the task manager (ctrl-alt-del).
Mr Ekted Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 Try setting your chat window to "never show" in Cont options. Then when Cont minimizes, figure out what has the focus. Office toolbar? Some instant messenger? Some anti-virus? Email? http://home.maine.rr.com/user/ekted/pics/ssgc.jpg http://www.againsttcpa.com/images/AgainstTCPA-Log01Small.gif
