That New Thing...

That stupid thing that says players with most kills, goals, deaths, ect, is annoying! For one its the color of enemy ship names. It flashs, that makes you want to look at it. Its ALWAYS up there...It blocks ships from view... Its screwing me over. Its a nice thing to have but it should only be visable in spec mode...

yeah, i like the idea, but it is in a bad spot. it's longer than the first f2 menu, so it kinda sticks out and distracts me from scrolling for attaching/messaging/etc...

 

i think it would work well as a zone message in the chat box...maybe as an entrance message that appears with the current score?

Thanks for the feedback, it really helps us determine a possible new placement of the news ticker.

So far we have these new locations in mind :

 

1) New center box with the news ticker

2) Box at A1 with news ticker

3) Same location as before, but with a !statsoff/!statson command

 

possible problems with these 3 suggestions :

 

1) Overall not much

2) Would not cause many problems, but it partially defeats the purpose to use the news ticker as noone really spectates A1

3) Could degrade the performance of the bot as it has to send commands in private to many players, thus some lines might be missing, might get a slower redraw rate, etc.

 

We`ll do a few tests and see which option is most favourable.

i entered the zone yesterday, and there was a vote for this thing... but this thing wasnt there. no one has a screen shot, perhaps? it sounds like a good idea, but its definetly important that its not in the way.
