uuh 300 is fkin long.. i don't play this zone but, how big are the bases that you can't base with a flag-time of 300 seconds? 200 are enough for bases like those in SWR...

btw what's the current flagtime in HS?

I agree that 300 seconds is too long. A flag time of that long, if anything will discouage basing since it's too easy to get thored or just taken over in that time. Running has always been the easy way to win with a long timer, anyways (at least for open maps).

The current flag time is 120 seconds. That's more than ample time to bring them into a base. There's always been basing when HS was still using subgame (unless you were someone like Cerebral and just stayed and slaughtered everyone in the center blum.gif ).

Right now, since the flags are quite concentrated, it's very easy to just grab them all and either stay in the center or hide them somewhere. The main obstacle to basing, however, is the "lag coma" bug which may force you to reconnect when deep inside a base.

If this changes when the new map is implemented, then yes, the flag timer will probably be adjusted accordingly. But currently, there is nothing wrong with the flag time.

i think prehaps 240 seconds (4 mins) will be a good time, give more then enough time to access a base and so it will need to be well defended.

For now the money recieved from basing is only about 1000-4000 because of a lack of population which can be blamed on the infamous "lag coma" bug and the fact that we just got back and some people might not know yet

120 is fine for now

180 would make things difficult and interesting when the new map is up if the new bases are bigger or easier to defend forcing a team to work a little harder to keep the base

240 is too much for now and since I haven't checked out the new map yet I can't really say if 240 would make things too tough or not but when we get 20-30 people in at a time again 240 and bigger tougher bases would be good

300 is too long no matter what
