Building railways and farms and automated everything is always fun in minecraft!

horizons turning out to be pretty unwieldy

 

theres only TE but no BC, fake RP not developed fully yet, no IC2, so no way to power AE

in short, theres an endgame but theres no way to get there

I've played FTB ultimate but the redpower 2 mod is not updated anymore so the entire modpack is stalled. FTB Unleashed is its successor somewhat.

 

I'm recently played FTB Techworld 2 with 2 other people, because of the additions like rotarycraft along with the (almost mandatory ic2 and buildcraft). There's no magic though and both the client and server require a lot of ram (3+gb for server and at least 3gb+ for the client), so x64 is pretty much required.

To cover up for the lack of RP:

Openblocks+Factorization covers the machines and Wireless Redstone covers most of the redstone stuff, also not having to deal with more energy types is always an advantage.

the "fake redpower" i mentioned is called "project red"

the old guy stopped maintaining it, so they remade it and made it open source

i didnt really like rp in any of the modpacks i played

 

thermal expansion is basically the only way you can power AE, because rotarycraft is mostly endgame

 

 

this is the first server ive been admin on, let alone owner

i dont even have the security plugins in yet, let alone a custom modpack

so im running a cracked FTB Horizons server if anyone is interested

 

server up, plugins installed, and seemingly ready for people to test

 

player limit is 10, might switch to 5 if too much lag

will switch to better hosting later if people are actually legitimately interested in playing
