?log in Windows 8

doesn't seem to work? asked someone else and no session.log was created for them either even tho the response of ?log is;

Log file open: session.log

I remember having a similar problem with Vista,

I've been logging every session since 2003. I need my logs man!

Any ideas?

 

Actually I'm not sure if the files are being created or if I just can't see them for some reason. Vista had that weird shit. If the file wasn't created it shouldn't say "log file open", it should give an error if I remember correctly.

I don't use Windows 8, but this sounds like it could be UAC data redirection.

 

Check to see if it's storing it in %localappdata%/VirtualStore/Program Files (x86)/Continuum. You can get there by typing that in the address bar of explorer.
