JoWie Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 Should this thread not be split or something? last 1-2 pages is just nonsense Quote
Kilo Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 Except you guys dont even follow your own license, " Your conduct in the game may affect your ability to play on a given server. Rules of conduct are left to the discretion of each server operator."You are grasping at the weakest straws you can find.I'm pretty sure we're following that pretty clearly and that's been explained in this thread. But since you don't seem to understand: by joining SSC, server operators are, at their discretion, including not being netbanned as a condition to play.I hardly can give two damns about Canadian law, if there is a Canadian server or zone operator out there, they might. I doubt Canadian law is much different than American on the topic of allowing private establishments to kick people out. Freedom of Speech – One fundamental right guaranteed under the First Amendment is the right to freedom of speech and press. Both the federal and state governments are generally prohibited from limiting an individual's right to expression, with only a few limited exceptions. Today, government-sponsored censorship is a controversial topic in constitutional law. I didn't specifically look up the american constitution, I'm not americanNot very well played there. You apparently didn't realize the First Amendment being referenced there is the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. Secondly, you apparently didn't realize that Subspace zone and server operators are neither federal nor state governments. Quote
Lone Outlaw Posted April 11, 2014 Author Report Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) No i knew it was part of the American constitution, i said i didn't specifically look for the American constitution., I googled laws on refusal of service. Clicked a few websites, some where canadian, some were just .com addresses found a nice site that said everything clearly. Copy and pasted. Not grasping at straws at all, tm_master talks to me, and said he was under pressure not to ban free me. "I hardly can give two damns about Canadian law, if there is a Canadian server or zone operator out there, they might. I doubt Canadian law is much different than American" This is what i was saying, most constitutions are generally the same recognizing fundamental liberties, they are just worded differently. PS. i know how to officially quote others, just lazy. @ My dear friend polix, mean this mostly with sincerity not sarcasm "At the time of your ban there were 4, and all 4 were in agreement to remove you from the SSC Network per request of DSB, per the network ban policy, and per the license as previously shown." How can four people agree when maybe only one knew me? It's like saying four zones agreed to remove me, when out of the four i only played in one. Seems like poor decision making, you guys just jump on the latest bandwagon and roll with it. Mob mentality. I agree with what you said about harassment, but it still stands that a person needs to be told to stop for it to be harassment. Edited April 11, 2014 by Lone Outlaw Quote
