Trench Wars alternative server is now online, please download the zone "SSC Trench Wars (ASSS)"

 

There are people going around saying this is a fake zone to steal passwords - this NOT true. The zone was created by TWDev and TW Sysops.

 

Fun fact: I was banned from Omega Fire for MENTIONING (NOT spamming) that Trench Wars alternative server was online. I guess they want to keep the players

Rules are rules. Advertising is illegal in most zones. Seen it posted quite a few times and I have only been in the zone a few minutes.

 

I understand the circumstances, but he is fit to run his zone as he wishes.

I don't blame them. Players get excited and start their own spamming. Just found it funny as I got banned. Couldn't help but smile a bit  Was only a short-lived ban. All is well.

I was offline and did not have first hand experience of the incident, however, polix is correct. The first rule of our server is not to advertise (see our website, or the F1 for additional information). An "occasional" advertisement is generally okay, repeated or spamming of advertising generally crosses the line. But I've noticed 2+ posts mentioning TW is back online I'm guessing it may  have gotten out of hand a bit? Either way I'm told it was for a short duration as a cool off period.

Yea no hard feelings Cypher, I just couldn't help but laugh at the situation (me being banned). It is true, when I mentioned it, TW players began spamming what I said. It's cool - I know the rules. And yes, it was a short ban. You guys are ok by me

In the SSDZ you can advertise any and all zone

I think that players should move freely any where they choose and also help each other find games they like.

 

But in saying that, one must remember where ever you go there is a culture and rule set.  Never be surprised when it is enforced.

For example in our zones we don't like the spec so you get put in a ship and usually a safezone.

 

I think both of you are doing a great job helping your players play.

I'll make sure i pass on the alternative zone info to anyone that asks.

 

I see that i had people looking  for trench wars & Chaos while i was out. I'll add it to my news text.

Do we need to make some more directory servers?  I haven't fully investigated this part of the game relationship yet.  Who runs the main directory servers these days?
