SS has survived this before, and will again.

It is 330am for Priit, so I wouldn't expect any response for a few more hours. He always seemed to respond/act first thing in the morning (probably checks e-mails over coffee/breakfast).

Until then, there are some non-ssc servers to check out.

Heck, this happening 13yrs ago got enough non-ssc zones populated that SSC allowed a few more new servers to connect finally. Not that there are any major restrictions now, but people did stick around in those zones/found a new zone to play in (and yes, mine being one of them :p).

Figured as much. My name isn't worth much in the game anymore, hah.

Logged in on my old customer account and sent a heads up to Priit's host. Gave them IPs and the datacenter the servers are in; hopefully they can help begin mitigating the problem (if they haven't already).

Will post if they reply anytime soon.

+1

I got a notice that my server (Omega Fire) was under DDoS attack .. logged in and saw 90 people in there, couldn't believe it. Glad to help out the community while things get sorted out.

Well, the biller is online and operating. At least that is 1 less thing to have to worry about getting working again once this stuff is resolved.

Mind asking for a few of the IPs? I wanna see if any match the ones slamming SubSpace.co for the past couple days. Cpanel been going nuts on login fails. Doubt any connection, but just interesting nonetheless.

I don't think they will assist me with that "Most attacks are spoofed (use random fake IPs). This means that it is not possible to examine the traffic and determine the attacker. We will likely not be able to provide further information on this attack." :(

Yea, was just curious as these were from the same subnet. Everytime I blocked went to another one.

Well, based on the style of attack... doubtful connected. Just very odd things spiked up recently, then receive e-mail about all of this too.

It wasn't that long ago I was accused of hacking the ssc network, bringing it down by Death and was banned from all of ssc and all of my servers were removed from the directory, and I was removed from super fortress as owner, all because death framed me because he was pissed halo moved host.
