I am seeking assistance in recovering a lost password for username Proximo. I registered this name in 2003 (for some reason 6-23-2003 rings a bell) and played on it for years. Prior to taking a break from the game in late 2012 / early 2013 I was playing as Prox as a member of the TW staff team. Upon returning to the game I have been unable to login to my account. I've tried the "?lostpassword" command but would have no clue what email address I was using 10 years ago.

I have reached out to "mom" and have been playing message-tag with him/her for a week now. I have submitted 5 support tickets for a Lost Password.. none of which have sent a confirmation email with a ticket number, leaving me unable to follow up on the issue. I would only assume the ticket system is not in working order. I've sent 4 tickets via my primary email and 1 ticket via my old school email, just to be sure my email was not the problem. The confirmation emails are not in my spam folder or trash. I tried communicating this with mom in-game and got a response that in summary says the ticket system is not broken.

I would appreciate someone helping me resolve this issue as my prior efforts have thus-far resulted in no progress.

Thank you.

It really is a struggle to reconnect names past to new users. I had the benefit of having access to a bunch of old alias databases from old zones, databases zones that have been around for a while still use, and many people actually put in legit info (though many will deny they did, no matter how much you try to tell them they really did, probably 9/10 aliases have full name and location filled out).

On the last point, I still recall a guy it took me 3 weeks just to get him to give me his name, cause he SWORE he never put it in and giving it to me wouldn't help. Finally he replied with his first and last name, 2mins later he had his new password. Still swore his info wasn't on it, but thanked me for giving it back.

It isn't that ops don't want to restore your name, there is just so many hoarders out there who love to stockpile aliases, and have tricked ops past more than once into giving them other player's aliases or inactive player's primary names.

I would be happy to provide name/location information to identify myself.. no one has given me a chance to provide this information. Heck, I even "think" I know the day I created the name. All attempts to reach a resolution have steered me towards "submitting another ticket", which inevitably results in me expecting to receive a confirmation number in an email from the ticket system that never arrives.

Other aliases used at the time were Prox, Prox , Prox , and BaNkShOt. I do have access to Prox to verify my identity.

Well I'll make a deal, give me back Tycho Celchu. There are not many people left who are starwars fans who even know where the name comes from. I used the name for 2 years from 1999-2001. Somehow the password stopped working so I made the name Tycho Celchu. with a period. Lost that name too. I don't understand why no one wants to give me my name back. Is someone actively using the name? Can I get a straight fucking answer. And if the name is unused for 10 years then can I get back? I don't care if I'm a name hoarder and that pisses you off. I used the name for two years and I created the name, was the first to use the name. That's not hoarding, that's using. Back then I was only 14 so I didn't know how to retrieve names and I was upset I lost it. All that aside, I was using a 56k Modem back then and was on a Pentium I. So no hardware doesn't match. Location should match however, I still live in Toronto Canada. So the deal is, give me the name back, if anyone comes to claim it and they have more proof the name is theirs than I do, then just give them the name back. But I doubt anyone will claim it or want it or even care about it, or know how to spell it.

Notice I'm not asking for Han Solo, that shit was taken. Valiant. was a name I had in 2006. Valiant with a period. I'm not asking for Valiant without a period because I never had that name. ETC. I'm not a scammer, I literally used the name Tycho Celchu in 2000 otherwise I wouldn't even think to ask for it. Facts are all the names I hoard are shit names. The Sentinel for example. Nobody wants this name, no one would use it. M26 Pershing, named after a tank. Uhm, Infernal Armor, etc. These aren't good names that other people would want, so let me hoard.

it would be very easy to have an alias table in the biller, and once a single address goes above a certain threshold, say 50 names, ALL of the names get reset

faggots lose, general public wins

easy

also troll idiot, noone gives a fuck about you, how about you make a new thread instead of putting your bullshit in someone elses topic

Cheese a lot of anger. I take it you miss me. Maybe I should post more often. This place died completely when I stopped. I wonder why you bother talking to me. I won't change, and you failed numerous times to get me banned. Who is the idiot now?

Lucky I don't have 50 names. And the 20 or so names I have no one would want or could even think of. Plus at least 16 of those names have 500-1000 hours of play time. The issue isn't having many names. The issue is having names remain taken when the person didnt log onto them for 5 years, and when the person didn't play for 5 years on any name whatsoever.

But I'm glad my posts can still anger you.

I didn't make a new thread because I don't make threads. Or rarely do. Find any threads made by me. Might be one or two in existence out of 391 posts. My post was on topic, the thread is about the problem not the specific person. A thread can be all encompassing and include everyone with a similar problem. Something like two birds with 1 stone. Why waste space making more threads on the same issue. Plus I was done with the topic, only replying now because you were dumb enough to type to me.
