one of my old names is now offensive?

hello, recently returned to game after 10 yr afk and found that one of my old names Hung Gerbil is offensive and I couldn't log on it. Is that name that offensive? I actually used that name as a ref also as Hung Gerbil+.

My name Tycho Celchu is still taken after 10 years, and no one wants to tell me if the asshole even signed on once in those 10 years. Whats the point of keeping a name locked up if no one is using it? It was my name in 2000 but I lost the password. Either the name was never used, and it just never expired, or it was stolen and someone guessed my password.
