What is the formula for xradar/aw/stealth energy per second?

Is it the same for every ship?

Items will give -xradarenergy but what does that mean, i know more is better but want to understand the number.

My spider has -364 xradar energy, lanc has -399 xradar energy, but when hit by an emp with xradar on, the lanc drains much faster than the spider.

Each ship has a different cost for xradar/aw/stealth that is set in the arena settings. The items modify that value.

xradar: 444, 421, 491, 447, 555, 514, 844, 624

aw: 153, 145, 169, 154, 191, 177, 210, 215

stealth: 340, 322, 375, 342, 425, 393, 466, 477

These values are pretty old, it's possible that they have changed.

Also, you should probably be toggling xradar now instead of keeping it on constantly, especially while emped. I think the xradar delay is gone again.

Thanks for the info.

I did the emp as a test to see how much energy per second my xradar is using.  Could also get ships energy to 0 and time how fast it takes to full recharge and compare the 2 to find out how much eps is being used.

ok so values are just hard coded, guess it makes sense the are hard coded because places like trench wars it is obvious they are custom.

Are the values energy cost per 10 seconds (same as turret recharge)?  So if have -300 xradar energy it is basically saving 30 energy per second while xradar on?

Yes, they are nrg/10s. Just like the min/max recharge values shown in ?shipinfo, which you can use to figure out your real recharge rate as well.

Not sure what you're saying about them being hardcoded, though... they're not. It's the values that are configured in the arena's settings.
