Jareth Posted June 10, 2013 Report Posted June 10, 2013 I think it is time for the zone to be reset, but SpiderNL has been missing for a few months. The zone has been pretty dead lately, and it would be nice to be able to pull in the summer population with a zone reset. The zone also needs a new developer since Spid has been absent. It doesn't need someone to create more modules, just balance what's currently there. Some examples of things that need to be adjusted:Shark shieldsTurretsRadiating coilsBall goal rewards are a bit too high for the team scoring. It should be there to promote a flag game with jackpot increases, not as an alternative to playing the game.
Unix Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 The development and balancing needs to happen before the actual reset otherwise the problems will just come back and you'd either have to re-balance then since you'd probably need to test a bit. Re-balancing now will guarantee that when we get to that point there will be fewer to no problems. Main problems to fix.... Sharks, shields, radiating, turrets, speed and cloak/xradar disparity, stealth and their actual costs for the items that use stealth and balling.

cxc Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 I agree, reset is needed. If you are fixing things fix bricks. They are abused by walling out the other team. If you dont want to fight stay in spec, if want to fight get in there, lay off the damn bricks.
Unix Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 Only time bricks have ever been a serious issue is when a player is using them to stall for time while the're defending team. Bricks have already been nerfed a bit earlier by Corey when he had access, he lowered the live time of the bricks by 2 secs, give or take. Lots of ways to balance it if it were an issue still. Maybe even lower it some more, since it's still possible to brick, tw, brick constantly.
