LoVeWAR Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 A Lucida Console font set for continuum.. made them on Macromedia FireworksThey will work only for Medium font size (tallfont.bm2) i hope you like them <_<
Manual Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 i like it better because it seems to be easier on my eyes and the zone looks more whats the word, softer? smoother? looks cool
Paxil Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 Can you explain how you did that? What program you used? Steps taken?
Tardy Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 Too me, it looks like all the same style, with the shadows on different part of the letters. Do you have caps for it?
fresca Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 Of course he has capitals.. Can't you see on the picture?=/ I think the font looks better when it's a bit sharpened, but other than that it's fine. I liked putting it as the green text on the default font because I am too used to the original tallfont.bm2, this one looks weird when I try to play/read..
LoVeWAR Posted February 4, 2004 Author Report Posted February 4, 2004 Well here is a sharper version, with crisp anti-alias ..and kliff as for the making i used Macromedia Fireworks.. make sure that you change the letter allignment to vertical so you can keep the letters in same distance.. makes your life easier
Tardy Posted February 4, 2004 Report Posted February 4, 2004 Oh, -*BAD WORD*-. I didn't look close enough. Now I notice the caps. Its nice, but like I said befor, looks like the same shape with different colors / shadows.
pixelsoft Posted February 4, 2004 Report Posted February 4, 2004 nice, good job, but i still love the standard-font I can't use it anyways, because i use the small font... btw, what's the gold font for?
LoVeWAR Posted February 5, 2004 Author Report Posted February 5, 2004 The gold and silver colours are for the F1 menu(or usually used at it anyway).. just something different i was messing with.
Lupper Posted February 5, 2004 Report Posted February 5, 2004 the font looks cool.. but it makes everything so much darker... should i increase my gamma?
madhaha Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Why not just lighten the image yourself ophie?
»1587200 Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 That's sweet, gj. Put it into a lvz file and I'll love u long time. How do you suggest brighting it mad? The bg has to stay black or you end up with boxes around every charcater. Edit: I took a 5 min stab at it with a font called Hackers in paintshop pro. Lol, it doesn't exactly work, but is kinda amusing to see.
HypnoticKirby Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Great! Also that hackers one sure is fun.
Mr Ekted Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 To brighten just the text in Photoshop, use Select/ColorRange to select all black. Then Select/Invert. Then brighten.
Jason Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Nothing will ever top ZippyDan's font. Everyone's just so -*BAD WORD*- used to it. =p
LoVeWAR Posted February 18, 2004 Author Report Posted February 18, 2004 Nothing of all those is really needed... the fonts are made for 32bit gameplay.. switch to 32 bit please to see all the colours and correct brightness.. at 8 or 16bits colours are lost and mostly merged creating a darker result If still not sattisfied just do the contrast thingy on photoshop..
plant. Posted March 28, 2004 Report Posted March 28, 2004 This way is alot easier, just get to options and then put off the transparant messages. done
ThunderJam Posted March 28, 2004 Report Posted March 28, 2004 Well, now that we are on the topic of fonts...I was wondering if it is possible to disable the nametags using alternate fonts? Like by making the text image all blank....but still having the pub chat text intact...
plant. Posted March 28, 2004 Report Posted March 28, 2004 dissable the nametags? In which kind of way? I don't really get it
Telson Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 Well, now that we are on the topic of fonts...I was wondering if it is possible to disable the nametags using alternate fonts? Like by making the text image all blank....but still having the pub chat text intact...No, Its been tried and was unsuccessful

Bargeld Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 Well, now that we are on the topic of fonts...I was wondering if it is possible to disable the nametags using alternate fonts? Like by making the text image all blank....but still having the pub chat text intact...hit ESC and while the menu is up, hit F3There are 3 states for this:1) All nametags on (including your own ship)2) All nametags on (not including your ship)3) all nametags OFF (what I think you are looking for)
Sgt. Bountage Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 as Justin Timberlake would say... "I'm Loving It" Good job, keep up the good work!
