Dying Zones and T3G - The Gauntlet

I have been a long time player of SS. I am probably a little younger than all of you (20).. but I have played subpsace since I was 12 years old (back in 2004)

 

It is really sad to see the state of the game that it is in today. The zones of subspace are virtually all dead.. and it is sad to see my favorite zone, the gauntlet, dead. It was one of the most fun zones in the game and is the reason why I got addicted to SS.

 

Being in college, I don't see why this game isn't advertised more around.. There is always something to do. and I feel like this game could attract a lot of the younger generation.

 

1. It is FREE.. Always the best

2. It doesn't take a lot of internet to run the game

3. It is simple, easy to get into, and highly addictive

 

I hope some zone developers and owners will try in some ways to advertise the game online. I've talked to some old school players into playing again and trying to recruit a few new people. 

 

It is a shame a game like this isn't really bigger than what it is.

This has been tried like a gazillion times.  There have been advertising on free sites, posters, stickers, Facebook, Twitter, some tried to get it on X-Box, etc.  The point is, it's an almost 20 year old game that hasn't been updated in forever.  There is no money being put to advertising because well, its a free game.  You need money to put into it to get good advertising.  WIth games like League of Legends (free), WoW,  flash games, cell phone games, etc - no one wants to play an outdated 2d spaceship game.

 

My suggestion, enjoy it while it lasts.  Play in other zones like EG and TW.
