Very simple. Define an acceptable threshold for tking. Optimal would be to add up friendly fire damage but doubt thats possible. Basically set a threshold, idk 5 10. Not sure what's acceptable as I rarely if ever tkd someone. Obviously turrets are not counted. If someone reaches said threshold they are spec ed and not able to join either flag freq until the match is over.

If it's a problem (and I have no idea, since I haven't played in years), then there are simpler solutions. The simplest, in my mind, is to have negative rewards for TKing someone. Like getting -5 exp for each TK. I suspect that would stop TKs real fast. If that's too drastic, then some other number may suffice, or alternatively a monitary penalty could be enacted.

The only issue is that there are times when you cant prevent the tks. For example, in a bline bombers are going to bomb, but rushers will still continue to rush, it's hard to prevent that and it's not wrong that they were tk'd. 

 

TKing is not a simple black and white topic, plenty of grey areas.

Some 10 minute in the zone problems i found.

 

?help buy, or ?help anything isn't a command, gives no help, displays nothing..

Hence i had to ask how to buy repels and bursts at the same time, of which no one knew, or didn't want to tell me. ?buy -c 20 repel |?buy -c 15 burst (from my memory) which doesn't work, because im probably getting something stupid wrong. As if a noob who just started continuum yesterday would know what -c means, etc.. (though im sure it means count) but really HS has been up for a few years and you still couldn't make simplier commands? GG

 

Next i was NOT on a flag team, OUTSIDE a base, and some amateur mod tells me it's a bannable offense to play in a base while not on a flag team because it's interference.. My smart ass reply was that i was not in the base.. LOL His retort was that going through the portal means your in the base. My reply was first of all it should be a spec, talk about taking a jack hammer to a mosquito. Secondly, you should have said entering portals while not on a flag team is interference. And why should you say that specifically? Because someone who started HS yesterday will see that interference rule, read that it says "Not on a flag team while in base is interfering" and they will think they are within the rules if they aren't inside the base. Meanwhile all you ass hats consider entering the portal being in the base.. Failure of communication much =/ And no it's not finding ways around rules, i litereally didn't think entering a portal was interferring, when most of the team was inside base, and i was just flying around it defending myself against stray attackers.

 

Next burst, and repel would not show up, even though i bought 20, re-entered game, re-entered ship, and have a repel mount. So either a mod decided to disable it, or your code fails. In both cases it will be a fail on HS part. So pick your poison. In the case of a mod disabling it, it only screwed over the flag team i was on. Good call.

 

Another thing is the bot specs people who are playing the flag game, yet it thinks they aren't.

 

Anyway DSB failed because DSB was an environment in which trolls could thrive. AKA it was a failure. If you eliminate failure in a zone you outright purify, nullify or eradicate trolls. If you choose to police a failing zone, as opposed to fix the problems so the trolls have nothing to complain about and just play, then your zone will thrive. If anything you should be thanking people like me for pointing out fails before they become serious problems. If you view nothing i brought up as being a problem, (doesn't have to be a serious problem) then your zone will eventually collapse and die. If you can admit these are some issues, then you have hope. DSB had a few big failures, but mostly it was a collection of 100 or so small miniscule 10 minute fixes that a failing staff didn't want to implement or didn't feel were problems. Yadda yadda your not dsb, sorry but DSB is my model for failing zones, it's like HISTORY, you look back so you don't repeat it.

If implement a penelty on team killing, make sure to not punish team killing someone with flags.  This is the only way to neut flags if antiwarped.

 

oh and it you want to stack commands it is

?|command|command|command|command

 

ex

 

?|buy -c 20 repel|buy -c 20 burst|buy -c 10 thor|buy -c 5 transwarp token

 

macro the above, it is very useful.

Idk why interference during a full blown flag game is punishable, sounds more like suicide lol. I guess the help thing could be fixed, I've never personally used ?help but used f1 a lot when I first started out. Tking rushers because they're in your bombs path is not a good excuse IMO. If rushers don't rush than they get bitched at for being dead weight, and then if they do they get killed by some one of either side. If you can't aim, don't bomb. Also my big complaint are thoring tkers. The problem isn't so much with bombs.
