Lone Outlaw Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 (edited) Post a Trace here. Did you try pressing PLAY, even if the zones are red? Mine can show red through out, but still connect if i press play. Firewall running? Which Anti virus do you use? Was continuum working before? Screenshot of your desktop please? Version of Windows? Re-install your anti-virus. Unfortunately the track record of Tech Help in this forum isn't that good. Not for a lack of people trying. But everyone's computer is different. (meaning half to majority of problems remain unsolved) The problem is you can see your computer, but don't know the problem. And we can figure out the problem, if only we could see your computer. This then leads to the person with the problem, never providing enough information, or the right information. And the person trying to help can't do much. As well there is always the case were the person asking for help, just never does what is asked, or pretends they did, etc. It's pretty shitty. To top it all off people will get upset if i try to bypass this problem, by logging on to another persons desktop. If you really want a problem fixed you would basically go to any lengths. Myself i couldn't care less who was on my desktop, because i can disconnect my external drive, and all my personal information is safe after. You can also try this. Step 1: Start the System Configuration Utility Click Starthttp://support.microsoft.com/library/images/support/kbgraphics/Public/EN-US/VistaStartButton.jpg, type msconfig in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER. http://support.microsoft.com/library/images/support/kbgraphics/Public/EN-US/SecurityShield.jpgIf you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or provide confirmation. Step 2: Configure Selective Startup optionsIn the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click Selective Startup on the General tab. Click to clear the Load Startup Items check box. Note The Use Original Boot.ini check box is unavailable. Click the Services tab. Click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box. Click Disable All, and then click OK. When you are prompted, click Restart. Edited October 16, 2012 by Lone Outlaw News, Forums andNovafirePress in Dire SituationsThe highest result of education is tolerance. - Helen Keller

Hakaku Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 What do you mean by "anymore"? When was the last time you actually played? Were you connected to the exact same network? More specifically, what kind of internet network are you trying to connect from? (Home, school, cellphone tethering, etc?) What firewalls do you have running? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v138/zacinu/SubSpacebannt2.pngPSPACE (SourceForge) - Alternative client (source) to Continuum
Lone Outlaw Posted October 17, 2012 Report Posted October 17, 2012 (edited) If it didn't work. Don't forget to re-enable all the Microsoft services, and start-up programs. Provided you did this, and did it accurately, upon restarting your PC your firewall/antivirus would have been disabled. If continuum still didn't connect, it pretty much rules out the firewall, and antivirus, and most other services and programs. So like cheese said, the question occurred to me also. Are you connected to the internet despite posting here? Galante VII Posted October 17, 2012 Author Report Posted October 17, 2012 No antivirus programs on when i (tryed to) played.... no firewalls on when i (tryed to) played, Normally i use F-secure, connecting from my own home and yes i played the day before my client broke down (day or two i started this thread) and no i did not change anything that causes it to brake down, so its a big pile of #$@$% that it did brake down.... it just hates me ()Got more than enough room left on my pc.... (just incase u wanted to know that too ) try connecting the computer to the internet Duh, smartass

Lone Outlaw Posted October 18, 2012 Report Posted October 18, 2012 (edited) Well if you want we can use logmein, to give me access to your PC, and i can fix up any problems i find, its pretty safe, i can only login if you give me the password, and a NEW password is generated each time you use the program. So i can't use old passwords. Plus you need to be connected to their server and have the program running. Plus you are always guaranteed safety as you can see exactly what i am doing, and you can shut off the PC, to disconnect me, or likewise just close the program. Also what is the name of your firewall and and your anti virus? Do other online games work? Are you using a router? Which one? Where did you install the game? C drive?
