midoent Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 It worked just fine this morning, now if I execute continuum the mouse changes up in that partly loading status (pointer with the circle) and there are 4 continuum.exe processes that cannot be stopped. Tried restarting and all the points in the faq. Help. Quote
Lone Outlaw Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 (edited) End process tree, will destroy everything. rather than end process... You need the tree one.. 'End process tree' It's there if you go over the process, and right click, in the menu. Then you know it's more likely a computer problem than a client one. Where did you download your Continuum client from? Link? Uninstall and re-install continuum. Edited July 25, 2012 by Lone Outlaw Quote
Cheese Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 also try rebooting your comp more than once a year Quote

Lone Outlaw Posted July 26, 2012 Report Posted July 26, 2012 (edited) You said you have 4 Continuum Processes running at once. They just build up on each other every time you click the game to open it. To end all the processes you have to click 'End process tree' by right click on the Continuum.exe Process in Task Manager. http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/2808/continuump1.png Also this is a computer problem, not client. Did you restart the PC like cheese said? Edited July 26, 2012 by Lone Outlaw Quote
Jareth Posted July 26, 2012 Report Posted July 26, 2012 Continuum has some problems with some anti-virus / anti-malware products. Restart computer to clean up the process list, then try disabling av. Quote

Lone Outlaw Posted July 26, 2012 Report Posted July 26, 2012 (edited) LOL in that list one of the suspicious programs continuum doesn't like is Warcraft 3.. I have Comodo Antivirus and firewall, And continuum works fine. I also remember continuum working with AVG and Avast, but as i think both of those are crap i haven't used them in a long time. And continuum works fine with Superantispyware. Also if it works for me, it should work for anyone else. If it doesn't work because they have superantispyware, its still a computer issue and has nothing to do with superantispyware. Also i have many small programs MP3TAGFile ShredderJDiskReportFreacHardDiskSerialNumberChangerHotspotShieldSmac 2.0TMAC v6Zsoft Installer (finds all alterations to PC after install and uninstall, including registry entries, and modified or added/hidden files) Continuum doesn't care about any of these. Hakaku Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 The last point in that FAQ may help:It may also be possible that your computer has Data Execution Program (DEP) enabled for all programs. For Windows XP, right click on “My Computer” and follow “Properties > Advanced > Performance Settings > Data Execution Prevention” Once you have opened DEP, see if you have 'Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only', if so, check 'Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select'. Next add Continuum.exe to the list, and apply. Then you can go back to 'Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only' if you'd like, and it will load fine. For Vista and Windows 7, go into “Start > Computer > System Properties (button under the link bar) > Advanced System Settings (on the left navigation menu) > Performance (click settings)”. Now move over to the one that says “Data Execution Program”, and add Continuum to the list. Quote
