Azatol Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 Not frustrated because I keep dying non stop repeatedly ( and I do, HAHA ), but frustrated because I can't find where to learn. I've searched the web for good guides and I have found some basic information and ship information and list of commands but nothing that explains the basics like what are all the symbols and numbers next to folks ships. How do you upgrade ships. Which chat is what, how do I use it, who am I chatting with ( Team, whole server, etc ). I did a few forum searches hoping to find the answers but keep drawing dead. Any help to get me started with a more solid understanding of the game would rock!! Azatol/Mike Quote
Resol Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 Regular chat is white. Team chat is yellow, you can type in team chat using a couple ways:'message//message Red chat is chat channel messages, you can have up to 9 chats and type by:;messageIf you have multiple chats;;2;message;3;messageTo join a chat type ?chat=chatnameTo join multiple chats - ?chat=chatname1,chatname2,chatname3,chatname4 Information next to players names, Banner, Bounty, sometimes there will be a symbol next to their name meaning other things. Not all zones allow you to upgrade your ships and they are each different. Usually ?buy or something. Try using ?help or !help in a zone to get more assistance from in-zone staff. Quote
Marioman Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 Try pressing F1 a couple of times in game to go through the zone's help text. Shows up in the top left. Usually covers all the basic concepts for each zone. Quote
Dav Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 One thing to consider also is that every zone is unique in continuum. This can cause frustration for new players as what applies in one zone is not the case in others (this is especially true of hyperspace). Of course this variaty is also the best thing about the game IMO. Basic crontrols will take very little time to learn. For everyting else you really need to look at the F1 help, or look at a zones website/page. Look here for a lost of zones, some have websites/forums (many hosted right here on subspace.co) http://www.subspace.co/servers/ Quote
