A Ship-Set I started on quite a few years ago and just recently dusted off and finished up...

Download Solaris Ship-set

I also updated my ship tutorial and template files for those who would like to give it a go. Included in the Shiptutorial.zip are the Bryce7 project files for animating a ship, A text file explaining a bit how to go about getting a ship made, and a utility of my own design, which I have dubbed MegaSplicer, which assembles the frames from the series of .bmp's output by Bryce(36x36 VIE only). It generates two files from the raw frames, a flat file, and a roll file. May need XP Sp3 compatibility.

One should note that as of this posting, you can download Bryce7 for free from Daz3d.com. I do realize that this is not the primary function of Bryce, but it is a capable program and far more simple and quicker to get results with if you are just a arm-chair creator such as myself. Blaa Blaa, and so on and so forth, I grow weary of typing things now, so lets put a link and be done.

Cheese, You can use them for whatever you would like. I will look into D3d meshes, but I have a feeling the boolean models Bryce creates might not be to conducive to exportation to a format usable by direct3d. I will have a look tho.

I remember these...

Not unsurprising and impossible at the same time. You see, given the tough economic times that exist in the universe today, WitchFX mfc. a subsidiary of Witch Doom Corp. was on the verge of bankruptcy due to the low demand for the sport class space vehicles which were the mainstay of its production line. Enter Solaris United. Better know for producing toasters and adult novelties, the board of executives at Solaris saw a real opportunity to breath new life into a dying market.

"We know people like toast, and we know people like things that vibrate. So we had this great idea about space ships with toasters and things that vibrate." Cornielius Finkerdorn, CEO of Solaris United.

Solaris United purchased WitchFX mfc. for 1 gagillion space bucks and produced a new line of Sport Class space vehicles. Making sure that each ship came with not only a 9000 series Toastarificator (w/ Nano Robotic Automatic Jam Spreader), but A Climax Series: Vibrating, Auto-Lubing, Captains Chair.

Given the new vehicles were still being mostly designed by the same staff that designed the line of WitchFX ships, it is easy to see the similarities.
