scopene Posted April 6, 2012 Report Posted April 6, 2012 Hi, I run a zone called SSCL Ultimate (currently down because I'm searching for a new server). The reason I'm parting company with Lynx is because he can only allow ASSS, which is completely understandable as Subgame takes up more resources. The problem is that ASSS isn't compatible with the style of zone I'm looking to run, a fast paced, quick attaching zone more like EG than anything else. I've spoken to the EG sysop who tried to migrate to ASSS and ran into the same problem. I have access to the SSC Biller, I just need a very kind and generous person to offer me a slot on their server. I understand that I'm likely to receive no offers but I thought I'd try anyway because I've always wanted to run a zone and I'd like to give it a good go before I call it a day. Thanks for reading, hope to hear back from someone. Also known as Azela

EG faced a very technical problem, one which I believe they sorted out with help from Grelminar. Freedom is the right to be wrong.
JoWie Posted April 6, 2012 Report Posted April 6, 2012 I think he is talking about:[1] Attaching In ASSS it takes an incredible amount of time to re-attach to another ship after de-attaching. Is this fixable and if so, how?

Dr Brain Posted April 7, 2012 Report Posted April 7, 2012 Either there's a setting that controls it client side (and I've forgotten it exists), or you've got some other issue, like position packet routing distance. Probably just up the routing distance to maximum (Net:PositionExtraPixels=16384). It won't hurt for a small zone. Freedom is the right to be wrong.
