EAGLE_II Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Hey all. I know this forum is barely visited but I am hoping the right people see this post. I am just wondering if there is a spot where the 17th bots are sitting (i.e. being hosted). I was just going through my files and I found a map called The Complex and I remember playing it once or twice and it was really neat. I am trying to start a new server but I cant code so I am looking for existing non-used bots that I can implement. Thanks -EAGLE II Quote
Samapico Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 I do have some of the plugins, but I don't think I have the complex one. MMaverick had a bunch of them on his site, but it appears to be down now. If anyone has the Complex bot dll, it would be him I think. If you're setting up a zone with ASSS, you might be able to find some equivalent server modules, which are way more powerful than bots. Check out SSCL Tri-Sector... they actually have something that use capture spots just like The Complex. They use it to activate periodic powerups, instead of moving the spawn point forward like in The Complex. But the way sectors are captured is pretty much the same, so it might be a good thing to start with. All the plugins I got are for specific events, like 2v2, brackets, etc. Quote
EAGLE_II Posted February 23, 2012 Author Report Posted February 23, 2012 Hey Sama. I am using SubServer atm, never really got into ASSS as I am just trying to create a 17th pub spinoff. I have Mervbot to run soccer and it works the same as it did in 17th (IIRC). One thing I would really like to get ahold of is the settings file for 17th pub, small weasel and stuff. I will take you up on your offer on the other thread to grab those files from you, I can set up an ftp on my server and you can upload them directly too me if thats cool with you. Tri-Sector looks cool, I will have to check that out. Thanks Quote
Cheese Posted February 26, 2012 Report Posted February 26, 2012 if youre doing something that simple, it would be very easy to learn how to write an asss module Quote
