When turning back on, screen stays black but I hear " SYSTEM FAILED CPU TEST" or at least thats what i think i hear... This only seems to happen when playing. Sitting in spec either windowed or in-game and sitting in the safe zone seem to be fine. This only happens with continuum, everything else is fine...

Bargeld Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 Sounds weird, but check near/on the power supply (on the back of the case) for a switch that says 115 and 230. Make sure it's on 115.

Jericho24. Posted January 23, 2004 Author Report Posted January 23, 2004 I have already tried all the obvious stuff.. Old / new drivers, tested hardware in other machines, uninstalled/reinstalled continuum, different versions of continuum, various display settings...

Fluffy White Bunny Posted January 24, 2004 Report Posted January 24, 2004 Maybe your CPU is over heating. Continuum uses 100% of the CPU while in full screen mode. Are you able to play other games that would use 100% of the CPU for long periods of time?

madhaha Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 Ignore DM... Apparently LOTS of people have been having trouble with the same error message. All of them use ASUS boards but the solutions appear to vary depending on the other components in the system or luck. I suggest voodoo.

Have cont running up on the screen in windowed mode and open up task manager right next to it.
