Yupa Posted July 16, 2011 Report Posted July 16, 2011 I'm sorry, but the 4th of July is not about military service, it's about independence from tyranny (made possible by ordinary citizens). Tyranny being something most people in the USA's military are presently assisting (yes, a minority of the organizations/of the time other, good things are done, too). If it weren't for standing armies, we might not have even needed the Declaration of Independence. The topic was derailed from the first post.
