new problem after reinstalling continuum

so i had a problem with one particular zone that i would constantly get disconnected from, and one suggestion was to delete continuum and reinstall elsewhere on my computer. did that, and now there is a new problem. every time i start continuum, it goes through the setup process (accept TOS, download zone list) and i have to re-input my profile information every time, and all the settings have been reset to default. i've deleted and reinstalled twice, eventually reinstalling back into the original program files/continuum and the problem is still there.

Uninstall it again,

then open the registry editor, and delete this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Continuum

 

Reinstall after that

 

(Before deleting it, you can check what's in there... There should be 'LicenseAccepted40' set to (40), and 'Setup' set to (1). I guess if they're not at these value you can try setting them manually to make the game believe the setup was done already. However, if the game cannot properly edit the registry for some reason, you might run into problems later, like being unable to store passwords and stuff)

Have you tried installing to C:\Users\%USER%\Documents folder?
