»Lynx Posted May 27, 2011 Report Posted May 27, 2011 As many of you have already heard SSCV are closing up shop. I am willing to host anybody who was previously on SSCV, however there are some requirements: 1. If you're going to demand Subgame2 hosting, you'll need biller connectivity from either SSC or Snrrrubs Isometry biller (both of which are easy to ascertain). 2. You'll need to be willing to learn. I don't mean master new programming languages in a night, but be willing to Google some Linux command line basics from time to time. Unfortunately I can't afford hundreds of dollars for Windows based hosting with all the bells and whistles of software such as TCAdmin, instead you must settle for Secure Shell and FTP. If the amount of zones hosted gets to be something that I consider worthwhile, I'll write a web application to handle some basic zone administration. 3. You must actively develop. If you get as far as compiling your zone and running it (and not login into it for 3 months) then you'll lose your hosting slot.4. You need to be professional. I provide the service on common-sense guidelines; if I notice that you're giving out your login credentials to a bunch of people whom you shouldn't be (and I do notice these things) I'll end the hosting 'agreement'. Rules also transcend - if you're using the SSC biller, you must abide by SSC rules etcetera. If you'd like to get an idea of the kind of lag to expect on the server (or lack of lag...) then visit any SSL/SSCL zone. Other than that, leave me a message and I will be happy to get you setup!
