Keyboard Remapping Problems - Laptop

Hello, I have a laptop where the function keys are combined with quick-function keys, so to hit F5 for example, I hit a FN key at the bottom and then tap the F5 key, so I was trying to remap my keyboard controls so I can just hit another key, like 5, but every key I hit in the keyboard controls thing, just comes up as "Key 7." Anyone know why or had any luck remapping a laptop keyboard's controls for Subspace?

That can happen if you have a controller plugged in with a loose axis, a stuck button, or an absolute axis that isn't centered (i.e. a throttle).

Since you probably don't have a controller plugged in your laptop, it could also be a 'toggle' kind of key on your laptop, like a FN-lock, or something like that...
